Unreal Engine 4.27 with some small modifications.
I thought it was the Quake 1 engine?

There is an old prototype for SPRAWL that REVEL made in the Quake 1 Engine before we met and switched to Unreal. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDNXGOYW9l4

I like it. I can see the similarities. The HUD, the slipgate and the general vibe. The sounds. Shame it was switched to Unreal.

Is that why SPRAWL's grenade bounce sfx is eerily similar to the Quake 1 grenade bounce sfx?
If it wasn't a copyrighted audio file, I might even think they were identical!

How come? I guess it was a neat experience knowing it was built on Quake but I think the end product is better and also runs better because of the modern engine.

Yes it was done intentionally because initially it was the Q1 bounce sound and we wanted to pay homage directly somehow so made our own sound as close as possible.

I understand why you changed over, but I love the chunky Q1 graphics :)
Oh, it felt like unity for me, never noticed it was under UE4. Anyway, loved the final product.

sweet might grab for uevr in that new fanatical bundle.
You are brings nice vibe of Q1\Q2, with these pixels textures and light, also on levels in third's part, and with this fast movement like Unreal Tournament. That's a perfect mix of Quake for visual design and Ghost in the Shell for environment design, and from 90th's anime too
