I love the gta series, been playing since the 1st one, the top down psx game :)

I did want to buy this but the one thing that stops me from buying is is purely the music, the music is the main part of why gta is so fun just to load an faff about with, but sadly so many tracks have been pulled from this version, so many really good ones too. So for that reason alone I'll give it a miss and stick to the ps2 version.

a shame though, if not for that I would most certainly buy it. as I'm sure the enhancements are a nice improvement.

Yes, of course. Nothing beats the classics. I am planning to buy RE4 Remake also.

Doesn't have the PS2 effects, introduced tons of bugs, shoddy texture work with broken geometry, missing FX effects such as heatwaves and grey skies during clear weather, little to no fog present in the demake, broken swimming animations, no music at clubs, choppy animations overall especially nonstandard ones such as gym, boxing, dancing, fake distant traffic, and LOTS AND LOTS MORE.

Luckily I have the OG edition on CD so I get the full experience with the PS2 restoration and widescreen patch, this garbage demake is unfit to replace the original version, and even if it didn't it is far worse then the original.

A lot of what was done in this remaster was done better through modding the OG steam versions, including the graphical improvements.

• A modder named Vados recreated every single GTA SA character in HD which was done over the span of several years
  
  
• The graphical fidelity of GTA SA was improved greatly with a tool called Renderhook, which brings the game's visuals & lighting to modern day quality
  
  
• Textures were improved by several modders, either by hand or even using a similar AI process that Wardrums/GSG used for the remaster, such as ROSA (Retexture of San Andreas), hell modders have even been going as far as looking for the Original textures used by Rockstar Games and remastering them
  
  
• There were also modifications that added in cut/missing content from the PC version that was originally included on the PS2 version

I honestly could go on and on over this, but all in all, the Definitive Edition is a rushed product.

I was supposed to get at least this game in VR from them officially.

@OP, the game remasters (sic) are terrible and are a port of a mobile version.

If you keep buying this kind of trash then they will continue shovelling the trash to ppl like yourself, good luck and maybe you are better off playing mobile games and leave the PC gaming space

the difference is you had modders like myself who fixed many of the issues and improved the experience.

1. "Orange atmosphere" sucks big time, especially when it's 1 PM. PC has it much better.
2. These are no "reflections" but some moving black bars.
3. PC version can mod the graphics (including PS2 one) but PS2 can't mod PC graphics.
4. GL having abysmal controls while PC overhauled them and improved a lot..
