Desert recipe that doesn't appear when unlocked

I just killed the king cobra and was trying to unlock the new recipes that appear after doing so. I have the cactus steak, and am working on dried fruit, but there was a third recipe that I clicked on (desert saute, taking about 2k gold, mysterious meat, and olives,) but when I clicked on it, the option disappeared, but no recipe became available.

Is this some kind of incomplete feature? A bug?

EDIT: I closed the game and restarted it, and suddenly, the recipe appeared in "cook" when I reloaded, so I'm not soft-locked. I was worried I'd have to reload from a manual save from this morning, so that's good at least...
