I've reincarnated 3 times and still can't figure out how to raise my cap for the anchovy sandwich for the orphanage quest line. I have the recipe, but can only make 3 at a time. How do I get it up to 10?

I've been grinding on the Lostlorn Forest Abyss for about 2-3 months now trying to max out the fairy, but it won't ever drop anymore more research since I've maxed out the level. I can't collect anymore research to max out the luck stat and it's just sitting there unfinished. Any one have any idea why I can't get any more research? Do I have to progress past the Lostlorn Forest before I can get anymore or am I just being stupid and I'm missing something?...
