Forest Fairy won't drop anymore research?
I've been grinding on the Lostlorn Forest Abyss for about 2-3 months now trying to max out the fairy, but it won't ever drop anymore more research since I've maxed out the level. I can't collect anymore research to max out the luck stat and it's just sitting there unfinished. Any one have any idea why I can't get any more research? Do I have to progress past the Lostlorn Forest before I can get anymore or am I just being stupid and I'm missing something?

dont farm rare monsters in their dungeons beyond the first drop
you will later get an enemy that summons the monsters you have in your party, farm the research for rare monsters with that enemy

iirc to level the forest fairy, you need herbs or something, so if you do have the research and cant level the fairy its because you dont have herbs ore something

and i think you are just unlucky, it should absolutley be possible to max her even at that stage, just dont do it, its way more efficient to continue

additionaly, the rare monster has a lower reseearch drop chance than the other enemies in the same dungeon, you can check the exact numbers in the bestiary

thank you, getting confirmation that i was missing something or wasting my time on it was exactly what I was looking for. Now I know that I can just easily farm them later, even more glad that I posted this- so again thank you my friend :)

Not unlucky, I have the exact same issue. 24 hours of high-rare % rates and research drop rates and nothing from Forest Fairies.

you can see in the bestiary how often you defeat a mob, is the number inceasing at all?

but as i said, dont farm them in the beginning after the initial drop, there is a better way to do it

Fairy does seem to have a steeply under-represented drop. It took a long time to get it max'ed out. It certainly does feel separated by more than the 5% allegedly from the Codex. Comparatively at login, it is steeply under-rep'd. A much larger magnitude than 5% should make. I have seen 4 or 5, to 1 rate commonly. Where I may end up with 3 or 4 for hours of offline time the next critter in line will have closer to twenty, if not over. Which isn't statistically consistent.

This time is is nearly numerically reversed. I typically expect to see 3pt for fairy, and closer to twenty for the number two XP research. 1,2,3 is closer to my going average.

How rare ARE forest fairies?! I have been hunting the deep forest for over a day, and still have 0 research on them (no unlocks). 2k monkeys, 1.5k lizardmen, and only 12 forest fairies, with no unlock...

I wasted some time hunting flower fairies early on, but farming them was at least possible...

Seems to be each rare enemy has about half the spawn rate of the previous.

For instance, I have about 11.5k wolf kills, but only 870 flower fairies.
In the Forest I have 10.7k Lizard Man kills but only 465 Forest Fairies.
And in the next area it's 9.3k of a normal enemy to 264 of the rare.

This. The final rare enemy, for example, is extremely rare. I have about 150,000 kills for each of the common enemies, yet I've seen only 417 of the rare enemy. And that's at endgame, where I have access to boosted encounter rates for the rare enemies. Their occurrence indeed fits the adjective, "rare." It is far preferable to grind the necessary drops from the Demon King.

Either way you choose to farm the rare monster levels, though, eventually you're going to be gated more by seeds than by rare enemy drops. Be prepared. Look for optimum ways to farm literally billions of seeds.

I actually farmed all rare enemies in their dungeons
But I done first run as tamer and it took AGES XD (I actually needed to spend that time farmign each dungeon to progress, thats how weak is tamer without warrior or sorcerrer talents)
