Game Crash on Launch
LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown] [Line: 724]
BulkData compressed header read error. This package may be corrupt!

That is the error message i get on launch right as the robot entertainment logo pops up, i've reinstaleld the game, reinstalled steam, tried not syncing the game to cloud, so far nothing has worked, it's only affecting the game.

If anyone has any ideas let me know, the game was working at first but now it just isn't

I have the exact same issue, I managed to get a good few hours on the game when it launched but the update that supposedly fixed these crash issues has caused my game to break.

Same exact problem for me.

I've started getting this error message. It happened after the power went out for me so I thought it was something to do with that, but maybe not. I've tried everything but reinstalling Steam.

I went through to see if i could update my drivers but i can't, my very pc is actually new and it was able to run it prior to the power loss

I imagine it has something to do with being shut down during a save. or something along those lines. as I'd just finished a level and was in the spellbook upgrading things. It sucks that the entire game just bricks itself afterwards though.

Edit: So I tested it just to find out if it was the save that was causing the issue and it absolutely was. I copied my saves, moved them to another file, turned Steam Cloud off and the game booted up just fine. Moved the saves back and the game crashed.

Same exact problem. Had a power outage while playing and now I get this error every single time I try to open the game. Any insight or help?

"UE4-OMD Game has crashed and will close

LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown] [Line: 724]
BalkData Compressed header read error. This package may be corrupt!"

Things I have done:
-I have restarted the computer
-Updated GeForce Nvidia drivers
-Checked the file integrity through the steam library
-Uninstalling and reinstalling OMD3
-Made a new windows profile to open Steam and attempted to open
-Went into the hidden files to delete the saved game files from the PC
-Uninstalled OMD3 and also deleted the Robot Entertainment folder and then reinstalled OMD3 (in that order)
-Ensured no conflicting virus protection/firewall interfere

STILL NOT WORKING

Good shout. I've started backing up my saves now every time the game closes without issue.

I mean, it worked for me and may work for other people although it's not really much of a fix as you lose all your progress. I'm just kind of happy to be able to play the game again.

My game also made my computer crash and I was in the middle of playing. Hopefully they fix the bug as starting from scratch sounds pretty awful.

So it didn't seem to work for me, but maybe i'm missing a step in moving the save files out? should i just move the entire savedgames folder out or just that folder's contents?

I just moved the saves from the folder into another elsewhere. I didn't move the actual folder itself.
