Warmages, we appreciate you playing Orcs Must Die! 3. If you're here you must be experiencing an issue with the game, so please check below for known issues and solutions to those issues.

For any issue without a known solution, we will be working on one and searching for community solutions as well. If you know of a community solution, please feel free to share it with us.

Known Issues and their temporary workarounds:

My Language options won't change

1. Open the game
   
2. Press Escape / open options
   
3. At the bottom there is a language option, change it to a different language, which you do not want.
   
4. Restart Orcs Must Die! 3
   
5. Repeat these steps, but select the language you do want this time.
   
6. Restart Orcs Must Die! 3

My Screen is washed out / display doesn't look right

We pushed an update to disable HDR, this should no longer happen. If you're still seeing this, please reach out to us. We are working on a more permanent solution to this.

my game won't leave fullscreen / I can't change my resolution

We are actively investigating this issue. We are noticing connections to 4k monitors, but if you are experiencing this while not using a 4k or HDR monitor, please let us know.

I have an AZERTY Keyboard and my keybinds aren't working properly

We are actively looking into this issue and hope to have solutions soon.

I want to rebind WASD keys

We are working on a fix for this issue now and expect to update the game soon.

My PC is overheating! / Is utilizing too much CPU/GPU

We have capped game framerate at 60fps for the time being. We are working on a more permanent solution so players may choose their own cap.

My game is crashing!

We have had users report a fix using the following steps:

• Verify the integrity of your game files on Steam.
  
• Update your graphics card
  
• Update Windows
  
• Ensure that all files in this directory are not hidden: C:\Users\<yourUserAccount>\%AppData%\Local\Robot Entertainment (Note that %AppData% will be hidden).

Any additional information you can provide us would be helpful for us narrowing down the cause and subsequent fix for this issue.

My Monitor is flickering / My game keeps switching between monitors!

This is related to having multiple monitors, though we are still narrowing down the exact cause.

Short term solution is to unplug a monitor, though we understand how annoying that is to do. We are absolutely working on a permanent solution.

A fix that worked for me concerning the My Language options won't change that worked for me:

-Open the game
-Press Escape / open options
-At the bottom there is a language option, change it to a language you don't want and that isn't your Steam language so the "restart your game" text appears
-Change the language to your preferred language
-Restart Orcs Must Die! 3

The reason it doesn't work as described by the dev is probably because the game launches in your system language but "thinks" it uses your Steam preferred language. So if you change to your preferred language the game actually changes nothing.

Few other bugs I have found:
Magic amulet does not have effect and model when holding.
In coop when you're running and spamming space with the char which has power fist you can get stuck in place and cant move. Only way to reset it is to die.

A Game launching on the PC in 2021 without the ability to bind MOVEMENT KEYS! How was this overlooked?

Mouse Wheel Up & Mouse Wheel Down can not be remapped, which means I can't flip previous laodout slot & next loadout slot. Also, could we have the ability to map each slot to any key. I can't reach 7-0 with my left hand.

To change resolution-> Options -> Graphics ->in Window mode -> change to fullscreen.You can play it in 4k that way.

Keybindings need to be fixed asap. I have an AZERTY keyboard and can't even play right now. People should be able to change all the keys to whatever they like.

Hey guys, in %localappdata%\Robot Entertainment\Orcs Must Die! 3\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor you have input.ini file. You can edit your controls in that file. If file is empty, just change any control in game and it should get filled.

There is definitely some sort of problem with resolution settings and/or/combined with screen modes (full, windowed, etc). Flattening all those via changing all of it directly in the .ini fixed all my random crashes in client and those that seemed to be linked to initializing the game engine, ie, when loading a level.

Specifically these were...

DesiredScreenWidth=2560
DesiredScreenHeight=1440
LastUserConfirmedDesiredScreenWidth=2560
LastUserConfirmedDesiredScreenHeight=1440
ResolutionSizeX=2560
ResolutionSizeY=1440
LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeX=2560
LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeY=1440

FullscreenMode=1
LastConfirmedFullscreenMode=1
PreferredFullscreenMode=1

Before I made the changes, more than half of these values conflicted. Some of the resolution settings were 720p. FullscreenMode settings were all different.

Prior to this, before the UE engine crash, the monitor screen would flicker. This is why I suspect its related to the above.

Horrible situation, I can't currently play the game as I use a non-standard keyboard, just bought 2 copies to play with a friend :(

I am experiencing an issue that has not yet been brought up.

When I run the game I simply get a black screen. No menu comes up. Nothing.

I have updated my video drivers and I have verified the integrity of the game files. I have even uninstalled and re-installed for good measure.

My system is well beyond the minimum requirements to play.

Has anyone found any similar issue?

Hey,
I have experienced trouble with "Collector" achievment. When I had all traps, trinkets and weapons I looked that I had 53 out of 59. So I bought all outfits but yet I haven´t got achievment. It shows me 58 out of 59 items.
Also I have trouble with equipment of Vorwicks outfit I bought. It can´t be equiped.

BTW I love the game so much but I prefered the more 3D look of dropped skulls from previous OMD and I don´t seem to be the only one.
