Ever.
I think UC showed us that alternate reality.
However, for me personally, you can't call a game co-op if it does not feature ability to play with your friends. Imagine scenario where we search for games to play, it is marketed as co-op, we purchase said game only to discover that we can't play this game as co-op. It happens way too often to me and my friends as we try to find games which we could play together. This is why a lot of games do put forwards a mention that they do not offer full co-op experience, but a limited one whatever it would be 2 or 3 player co-op game.
But to be fair, I'm too hard on this game. Most games in the market do not have the slightest clue of what co-op is and it is a chore to get through all the false advertisement. It is common place to see a nonsense like this "Multiplayer shooter is a co-op game", "Ability to play RTS on a same team vs bots is a co-op experience".
But it was also playable solo, which was some clever design work.
Is there a Cooperative mode? How many players can play together?
There is two player cooperative. We currently have no plans to extend this past two players.
Same here. There are similar games around focusing on MP (and thus unbalanced/boring/unplayable solo) but what makes OMD unique is rich and well balanced solo experience, especially in OMD1. I am happy for the players interested in coop that they can enjoy the game that way too in OMD2 and OMD3 - just as long as including coop in OMD3 does not harm solo experience by having the levels designed too much with 2 players in mind. Myself, I am not interested in coop at all.
