Ceiling Laser Upgrade
So I see a lot of people talking a lot about the Ceiling Lasers and it seems like most seem to say the best unique upgrade is the additional lasers. However, I was wondering if the damage from the additional lasers is actually better than the fire damage lasers when combined with the Tar Trap's Unique Upgrade that causes enemies to take increased fire damage. Does anyone know? Has anyone tested this? For the sake of argument, assume the tar is still under the lasers even if they have additional lasers instead of fire damage.

The normal 3 beam lasers miss a lot if you set them horizontally. You will notice this when using these against flyers. The upgraded 5 beam lasers can still miss the very small enemies no matter how you place them but the fire upgrade on them isn't that great because the smallest flyers are immune to fire. If you are trying to use them to damage ground enemies, just don't. Most of the fire upgrade DPS comes from the burn and not from the fire laser itself and that burn duration is not very long.
I'd probably stick with the briar patch and some kind of ice element to keep them in place for consistent physical damage since there isn't anything that is immune to it on the ground.

The fire lasers give fire damage and can be paired with arcane brimstone or with more fire damage tar, I just personally find lightning damage and arcane brimstone to be a more useful damage type, especially considering fire immune demons and lightning weak armored ogres. Lightning and arcane brimstone just seems like a more universally applicable combination.

How do you unlock the ceiling laser? I have just finished the main campaign and there are still many traps unlocked in my inventory. Do I have to do the weekly challenges or something?

Well clearing certain maps allows you to access some traps, but most can just be bought, along with their upgrades, by spending the skulls you collect. You just have to go to the Spellbook.

The are great for combos and are good for metal covered enemies like armored ogres

This is good for first 5 waves only after that they are a wasted spot for a better trap.

hey guys, can you help me? Im trying to play with a friend, but my game can't host coop. when i click the "game mode" menu at the top right corner, the UI doesn't have the "invite friend" option.

I have got the game in Epic rather than Steam so it might be different but when I click on "solo" in the top right hand corner to select the game modes, a different screen comes up with various options including "invite friend". When I click on invite friend my Epic Games friends list pops up and overlays the game and I can select a friend to invite. I am assuming exactly the same thing should happen with your Steam friends list. As it is an external app which is being overlayed, if you can't see it it might be the case that it is launched in the background and your game in remaining on top in the foreground. You might need to alt-tab to bring it to the foreground.
