Endless Mode Needs Balancing
I've got just under 30 hours into OMD3, coming from OMD1,2 accumulating an embarrassing 946 hours total play.....

OMD3 endless mode needs a balancing to enable longer play. I’ve been soloing sludge shelves on endless. I’ve used countless number of trap combo’s and have reached wave 21 as a high. I don’t see why 20x armored ogre’s need to run through all my traps and enter the rift on almost every round after wave 15. It’s just unnecessarily hard at that wave. It’s like a stampede that renders all traps (that prior to this haven’t let a single mob through) useless, as if they aren’t there.

Is it me or is anyone else used to that type of stampede to occur after round 30 in the old game? It’s like the game took you from wave 16 to wave 40 for no reason. This then kills the group which was hard to find in the first place.

Don’t take this the wrong way, I love the challenge and punishment of losing and reconfiguring traps/weapons and so on, but it takes time to find a group or get a buddy online to play and when this happens, there goes the fun!
I notice this happens a lot after the 2nd or 3rd moneybags appears, not sure if this is a trigger or not.

Endless mode desperately needs a fast-forward function. It's very boring just sitting around doing nothing while they walk through the traps.

Endless: There is approximately 5000 orcs by wave 28-30 killed in total.
Be prepared as the speed turns on to nightmare mode.
At wave 40, there are 7500-7600 orcs killed in total
At wave 50, there are 9900 - 10600 orcs killed in total
The game becomes very boring by then. It is the next higher level, err hell difficulty I think or does it stay on nightmare difficulty. We quit.

We go to wave 50 easily without any in game mods or overlay mods. But when playing co-op, if the team member has crap traps and does not assist, we quit after wave 20-30.

There is a good mod, to let you play the war scenario's maps for endless mode. We do recommend it. It does not interfere with the base game and co-op works.

Its gets harder, highest wave we have got to is 315 with a score of over 300 million before partner's game crashed and that's game over and haven't played since. Rule of thumb is anything works first the first 50 waves after that you need certain traps to keep going . And remember what works for the first 50 waves maybe crap at wave 150. IE lasers good at the start but useless later in game.
The only thing that needs changing is the amount of Armor and/or HP the Enemies get after some waves... We played a endless behond wave 100 and every wave took over 10 minutes to finish. We played the freaking whole day (7h ? )for this coz it just took crazy amounts of time to kill the last Mountaintrolls. Traps and weapons did almost no damage anymore. I was doing the dishes and was RL shopping while my charakter floated save and we let the waves kill themselfes in our labyrinth of dead. but i will never ever do this long slog again.
