how equal is coop in this game?

i know that if you are online friends can use the train to get to your farm and all is smiles and unicorns

what i want to know is how equal the treatment is between the host and the person who gets invited to the farm.

are they treated as a "helper" and limited to certain functions.
or are they treated as a second player through and through, meaning can do quests by themselves, talk to npcs, buy, destroy your farm, everything the host can.

You are able to do all of those things, the only limitation is that when the host goes offline you no longer have access to their Ranch until they log back on.

this is wonderful news, me and my friends used to buy a lot of coop games that were too limited in functionality but if in this game they treated like a second player and not limited by anything this makes it worth a buy.

Yes, there is a bug that is already being worked on, hot fix will come asap!

Oh I see, that's good. A lot of the reviews say they don't like the co-op experience right now.
