Is the game worth the money? We are discussing the pricing policy!
We've been waiting for this game for a long time, and the very fact of its release is already an event. I understand that this is a real brainchild for the developer, and he has invested years of work into it. But the price tag, to be honest, is very confusing: it looks overpriced compared to other similar projects. Many players are passing by now precisely because of the price. It seems to me that it would be more reasonable to start with a more affordable price — this way more people will be able to evaluate the game, and in the long run it is more profitable. I would like to be listened to.

Meh. Even if you get a few hours of enjoyment out of it, the price is cheaper than a meal out.
Well i personally feel the same way you do. I had this on my Wishlist for quite some time too. And today after finally been released into Early Access, i was pretty excited. Unfortunatly too excited...i streamed it for like 1.5h and stopped to propably refund it for now. The whole idea seems nice...but to be fair, i think if the dev wants to bring it into a full release it will take years.
10€ in my case would have been fine....21€? Sorry but i dont see any reason for that price.
You would be good by just waiting for a sale...or check the first serious reviews.

Actually a beautiful point, the average meal at jack in the box comes out to around 15$, and then you ♥♥♥♥ it out later. This game costs a meal and some egg rolls n ♥♥♥♥, and then you can return it if you don't like it within the hour or you can keep it forever unlike a jack in the crap.

Good point.

Well, I'm not sure what you aim to achieve here. The price isn't going to get lowered. It is what it is. If I were you I'd just leave the game in the dust if I felt compelled to ask for a refund to an early access game.
Well then i should be glad You arent me and i can have my own opinion about the game...and if you dont like it my personal opinion...bro i couldnt care less.

What does dinner at a restaurant have to do with it? Games have their own economics and their own metrics of value. Players do not compare it with food, but with other games — both in terms of the volume of content, the passage time, and the uniqueness of the mechanics. If a product is expensive, it should win in this comparison. It doesn't feel like he's winning yet, which is why there's criticism of the price.

Personally, I'm not trying to get the price down — I'm just expressing my opinion as a player. If a developer sees that the audience thinks the price tag is too high, this is a signal: it may be worth strengthening marketing, adding bonuses, or making a discount later.
It was way more expensive on Kickstarter and promised way too much to be worth trying out as it seemed like a pipedream at that point. The fact that its more than a proof of concept now AND its cheaper means that it was an easier purchase. As you said, because of what is on offer versus similar games I came to that assessment. It has some of the chaotic and mismatched elements I frankly look for these days. The fact that it has dungeons, monsters, guns, farming, driving, multiplayer, sim's like base building, etc means that it is easily worth the price. I think your assessment is quite frankly unrealistic and way off base for the quality of elements woven together here.

It's clear that for you, the abundance of mechanics is an argument in favor. And it's not quantity that's more important to me, but quality and coherence: when everything works as a whole. Now there is no such feeling, so the price seems unjustified. Different criteria — different conclusions

That's just not how I view my expenses. It goes into one big pile for "entertainment". If I take a punt at a game I happen to enjoy, great. If not, I'm not going to lose sleep over it.

Actually that isn't the case, the quality is also important. For me, most games are boring, I have thousands of games and most games do the same crap over and over or do some limited roguelite thing over and over. However, the real gems, like Necesse, Terraria, Minecraft, Stardew Valley, Fantasy Life I, do a bunch of things in multiplayer, which allow for a tremendous variety of gameplay that allows many players to enjoy them together despite their different preferences.
There have already been 34 reviews, and most of them are negative. For some reason, I was sure that this would happen.
@Marusya ...You could keep this conversation going and going...even though it doesnt really answer your Question. All i can tell you from my point of view between all the crap beeing written here...Just wait...keep it on your wishlist and follow the development...maybe it will come on a cheaper sale or as key. For now i personally can say...what i played so far i dont see the price worth it. It has some good ideas yeah ...but thats it.
I’m honestly getting really tired of having to read this same discussion over and over again. Everyone wants fair pay for their own job, but when it comes to paying others for their work, suddenly it’s "No, that’s too much!"

You should be glad we have a healthy indie scene that saves us from the same old AAA ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. In this case, the price really isn't too high, considering what you already get and what’s still to come. Yes, you have to place a certain amount of trust in the developer here. If you aren't willing to do that, then Early Access isn't for you anyway.

I think I will, thank you!
