YouTube Early Access
Whenever I buy a game now the developers usually give a select few YouTube Creators extra early access (usually 3 - 5 days) so potential buyers can watch and see (and get excited) in advance.

Not having ANY YouTubers in advance (except the disastrous demo launch 5 months ago) does not bode well - it begs the question - what are you hiding?

The Ranchers has been on my Steam Wishlist since early 2022 - I chose not to download the demo (I tend not to do demos) but excitedly watched vids of it and it was quite a poor launch - primarily due to really bad controls. I believe things got better as the dev took on board the criticism and put out patches - which gave me confidence for the launch ... but having searched all of youtube for any recent vids ON LAUNCH DAy and finding none has me rather concerned.

I was planning on purchasing today when it becomes available (approximately 3.5 hours from now) but now I am concerned. I might wait now until tomorrow, AFTER I have watched some YouTube reviews/gameplay ...

In 2026 not letting Creators have early access is very concerning and indicates you are trying to hide something - for me, at least.

We have an ambassador program of content creators since pre Alpha and they have had full access to the game all the way through its development and there has been content made through each major update.

I remember a time when the internet didn't even exist let alone to be able to watch any gaming content or buy digital copies of games, the world was a simpler one back then.

I've seen other games get so much hate for giving creators early access, its one of them things, damned if they do, damned if they don't.

the beauty of steam is you have the 2 hour refund. so get the game if you want it and give it a play, if you don't like it or is too broke then you can get a refund :)
Im actually pretty jazzed that I DIDNT see youtube flooded with content creators playing this a week before anyone else could. Down with streamers being a privileged class of gamer. Let them all wait along with the rest of us.

Totally agree.
idk it always rubs me the wrong way when they do this actually, just makes me feel like a peasant, and it's being thrown in my face
okay, I'm on Day 5, nearly out of money just doing the missions and I can see why the Dev(s) chose not to let Creators play and create videos prior to selling.

It has been on my Wishlist since early 2022 - methinks it needed an extra year.
(Sorry Dev)

I won't refund, it has great potential, one day. I was there at the launch of No Man's Sky and saw the potential - this one isn't quite yet up to where No Man's Sky was at launch, but I am sure it will get there one day.
