Character roster, you can find online, but I can say that I don't miss too much any character that's not in KOF XV that was in XIV.
KOF XV has nice graphics and animations. KOF XIV feels like a beta in that aspect.
KOF XV gameplay is fun and addictive. You can chain moves and supers like never before and trust me you'll have a lot of fun learning and doing that! KOF XIV is fine, but nothing to write home about.
Story is OK in both, but they complement each other, obviously.
KOF XIV has a HUGE image gallery to unlock by playing arcade mode and has more single player modes too.
KOF XV doesn't have that, but has the full collection of almost all (if not all) KOF music and even some Neo Geo. Unlocking endings for all official and special teams will take many hours and it actually is fun to do (endings are amazing if you like these characters).
I would say get both if on sale or something, but if you only want the best game between the two, KOF XV is the one to go.
Not sure why they removed it in KOF XV.
I would replace Nakoruru with Hwa Jai, or Shen Woo, or Big Bear, anyday.
.....Billy Kane, Whip and Mr Big would like a word. Also, Yamazaki on technicality(he wields the typical yakuza knives)
...Nakoruru is a KoF character >_>
