Why does KOF XV feel so boring?

I play many fighting games. But, every time I play KOF XV, I either fall asleep or get so bored that I have to stop. I could never come up with a good explanation. Maybe the stages and music are boring and easy to forget. Or maybe the characters design don't stand out. Or maybe the physics of the game in terms of how the character motions feel is part of it. Even watching e-sports matches of KOF XV doesn't feel as thrilling as other games.

Is there anything KOF XV can do to be more exciting?

I have this EXACT same feeling about Street Fighter games. They feel insanely boring to me, but that's just personal preference.

I bought the game on Steam, and tried playing it many times. I've been following fighting game tournaments for a long time and watch e-sports fighting game tournaments very often. KOF XV is one of the few games that I get bored watching even on Evo streams. Maybe it's the presentation, but something about it feel boring, plain, and dull. I guess it's just not for me.

Because its last pile of puked rubbish drying in corner. Extremely downgraded and oversimplified for kids with season 4 of SF5 balance which is basically no balance at all. Every previous kof was much superior, more complex and advanced, literally every single one and i loved each game since 97 till 14, the 15th one i despise with burning passion. Its first kof game that i couldnt enjoy at all, 0 satisfaction factor and challenge which probably makes the game boring for you, it did for me at least, this game has no start to.... many fighting games... but the saddest part is that kof15 has no start to kof itself..... 13 makes 15 looking laughably embarrassing....

Took the words right out of my mouth. People D-ride this game either just to be on the "Street Fighter Bad" train, and make the claim that this is the most skilled modern 2d fighter, when in actuality, it's literally KOF 98 with a dumbed down max mode and a babified HD activation mechanic. How in the hell does canceling into MAX for a big @ss comeback combo (combos which in general are pathetically easy to do in this game no matter what character you use due to it always ending in normal,unique,special,LV1super,LV3super. & longer combos are basically simple corner juggling.) from a FAR LIGHT PUNCH/KICK = Skillful Fighter?! LMFAO. I'd rather play SF5, especially 6 than this. Not to mention, it took SNK a full year in a half since release to fix the matchmaking & the netcode still licks unwashed taint. It is the single most overrated game in the series

it is because the kof xv backgroud music is uncool and younger generation don't know meaning of cool and they developed the game just like persevered lousy graphic cartoon they watch when they are kid that build a game like sucking their thumb begging for mama milk that kind feeling and atmospheres
