Crossplay issues with joining

So I bought this game because it has crossplay and my friend across the globe has the same one on his Xbox and I thought we could have a few fast matches.

We ended up having NONE.

So, problem one:

1 - I cant find his KOF ID
Turned out to not matter that much but I somehow wasnt able to find HIM on the search engine but he sure was able to find and follow ME and send me a request later.

2 - we CANT join rooms together.
So, both me and him created rooms, shared the room codes aaaaaaand nothing. Literally nothing. I cant join his room he cant join mine. We get the "Failed to enter the room" error.


So my question is:
1 - is there ANY workaround for us to use?
2 - is there ANY fix for this?
3 - ... please help?
4 - pretty please????

Good question. Do you find a fix for this? I'm playing in PC (steam), and my friend wants to buy this game in PC but in the Microsoft Store.

failed to enter the room error does not mean you cannot join room

On rank or causal go find rooms and try to join them if you can join or play with others than its some ip issue which happens sometimes with everyone.

You can play globally but dont understand why you wanna buy from mircosoft why not steam

Im from Argentina and the steam prices are very expensive.
