Looking to get into KOF, what characters do you recommend for my playstyle?

Hello, everyone! I come from Street Fighter, I've played the series since 2014, also played Tekken 7 for a while and a bit of Guilty Gear Xrd. In 2D fighting games, I play rushdown characters, more specifically Ken and Vega. What trio would you recommend with a similar playstyle and moveset (e.g. like a classic shoto)?

I'm not aiming at online matches or any competitive setting, just want to get into KOF (13) first, then move to the more recent games. Maaaaybe, just maybe, I could play as Terry in SF 6, if the transition is smooth, but that's another story.

I'd try Ryo, Robert, Yuri, Iori even Shingo... Claw as a charge char might make you like Ash, Heidern, Leona.

It's hard to recommend a team despite knowing the characters you mention from SF (Ultra Street Fighter IV in my case) well.

I'd recommend playing the arcade mode with all the teams, to get to know the characters and some of their stories while trying out their fighting style.
But if you want to get into specific characters, maybe Ryo, King, Robert, Kula, Chris and Orochi Chris are some that might fit your fighting style well.

Thank you for the responses! I really like Robert. Since my aim is to play it vs CPU, I'm considering dropping Ryo, as his parry moves would be more difficult to use vs a seemingly unreadable opponent. I will test the other ones.
