Guide on how to get the full game with all the dlc because you might accidentally buy duplicates

If anyone is confused on how to get the full game.Here's a guide- **1)THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV Deluxe Edition(Very important since you do not get DLC Costume "CLASSIC LEONA" if you buy the base game.) Then the separate dlcs to buy2) KOF XV Fighter Pass,3)THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV - DLC Team Pass "Team Pass 2", 4)THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV - DLC Costume "GAROU: MotW TERRY" If you are having trouble buying the game wait for the game to go on sale,the next major steam sale is 21 November 2023 or you might get a steam sale before that like as a promotion or 'week long deal' if you are lucky

I believe it's very clear actually and maybe only someone who doesn't read what is purchasing might buy duplicates. Also could perhaps be a problem for people not used to KoF.

What I do agree in terms of confusion is that once you get let's say KoFXV DX Ed + Team Pass 2 + Fighter Pass you will still see the separate characters or teams in the store as if you don't own them. But that happens with virtually many (if not all) other games too.

In case of Classic Leona costume it's very obvious you'll get her as long as you get it on steam/epic. It's digital exclusive. It's literally free regardless you buy KoF base game or DX ed.

Terry's Garou costume was preorder bonus (free). If you didn't preordered and still want it you need to pay for it.

However if you really believe a guide is necessary I suggest you do one on the guides' section as this thread will be forgotten in terms of hours or days.

Yes i know i have been playing kof from an early age. Since new players seems to be interested to the game i said that. Some people are so careless that they might not even know it and might think that the classic leona costume is forever gone just like some games don't make exclusive preorder bonus available. Like GG strive with their Ky and Sol preorder special colors still not being available .And i appreciate that SNK made preorder content available for purchase. But i really appreciate your effort for telling more details about the dlcs 😊

Sure don't mention it newcomers to KoF and to any new game (including myself) can and probably will get confused and could potentially buy duplicates

But atleast they made the preorder bonus available and follow regional pricing and not as bad as Capcom ,Bandai Namco and Warner bros with their Street fighter 6,Tekken 8 and Mortal Kombat 1 respectively

Agreed. Crapcom's (and others) been a disappointment to me for a long time

While i enjoy being able to cherry pick the ones i want.
Jesus christ, it has nothing to do with carelessness, it is designed in a way to confuse you so you buy duplicates eventually.
It is as consumer unfriendly as possible or are you really suggesting its aok having to analyze 14 DLC pages memorizing and comparing every single detail of these pages just to not accidentally buy duplicates?
There really is no point in defending this, there is no benefit in it.
There should be simply a bundle for that like 90% of any other game here, for those who just want to get the whole pakage.
Its still possible to get worse KOEI utilises this approach in some of the musou games and takes it to the point of absurdity with around hundreads of dlcs to study before you begin even thinking about a purchase.
Also its just not really smart from a marketing perspective as well, for me personally and many others just get annoyed and lose all my interrest most of the time if i see something like this.
It can definitley be a deal breaker for me, i just dont have the time or desire to deal with companies not being able to communicate their stuff propperly.

Unfortunately confusing packs are quite spread along steam store and not exclusive to some exceptions. You have to be very careful with what you purchase. I remember this same issue on some Resident Evil games where you could have bought EVERYTHING but some dlc are still shown as "missing". I remember a contact years ago buying duplicates w/o even taking notice.
I recommend asking on forums every time you and any person feels doubtful about games content.

Happens also in Crusader Kings 2. Paradox released then some packs, which combines dlc's, but in the store it looks like as if you don't own them. Now in CkII you can check up which dlc you already own in the launcher. If KOFXV does have a launcher, then you can check it up there. I think it's a more a steam thing and it's on valve's end to fix that.

Team Pass 1 is already included in the deluxe edition. So you only need team pass 2, the fighter pass and if you want to have everything, then also dlc costume garou: MotW Terry.

Team Pass 1 is already included in the deluxe edition. So you only need team pass 2, the fighter pass and if you want to have everything, then also dlc costume garou: MotW Terry.

So there is no "complete edition" but here is what you need to do in order to get everything:

º THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV Deluxe Edition: this is the base game (39 characters) + KOF XV Team Pass 1 which includes 2 teams or 6 characters: "Team GAROU" + "Team SOUTH TOWN" + Rugal is free.

º KOF XV Team Pass 2: this includes 2 extra teams or 6 characters: "Team AWAKENED OROCHI" + "Team SAMURAI"

º KOF XV Fighter Pass: this includes 7 extra characters w/o teams: Shingo Yabuki, Kim Kaphwan, Sylvie Paula Paula, Goenitz (free), Duo Lon and Hinako Shijo.

Leona's costume is digital exclusive so yes, it's included.

* Terry's garou skin was a preorder bonus and you must add it to the shopping cart in case you want EVERYTHING.

*And finally Mature and Vice have been announced for December but they are not included on this list neither is possible to purchase them yet.
