Player base and PC performance

So I'm debating whether or not buy the game on PC or PS4 as the FG playerbase tend to be bigger on consoles

Also I know there are some issues with online on PC does anyone know if PS4 version is free of these issues?

buy it on PS4 is the same game. but on pc you can use mods. however I believe this game will get crossplay., I dont know when but it will get.

Are any of these mods worth mentioning? Like are they game chaning that fix the issues some members of the community have or they are simply cosmetical?

those issues this game has on pc will get fix the developers are on this forums so it just has to wait for them. so be patient

So in short it's best to wait a little longer till bigger patch comes out and fix the issues?

yes. but that cosmetical can change your mind about to use a character or not.

So far I have enjoyed the PC version without issues and lots of matches. PS4 tends to get more players for other fighting games but so far it is still great here. There is crossplay with Epic Store but not sure how many are actually playing from there. If you buy in PC be sure to have a pad, I read there are limitations to customize your keyboard inputs.

I got the ps4 version but am sorry to say it's very hard to find a game. Waited a good time on many occasions with even lowest possible settings and got to only play 2 matches. So yeah the game is great but if this happen on ps4 i can only imagine on pc.

Is not even running well on Windows.

Also all the new people left. Fixes never came on time. There is only KoF veterans left as usual so it's hard to learn. And all of this if you are lucky enough to be matched with someone.

So the usual Japanese dev treatment on PC got it
"Veterans left" that is a non-issue to me tbh, I played GGAC+R I don't fear any veterans now

I had many cases when games worked better on Linux than on Windows so I guess I'll find out on my own if it runs well then. It's platinum on Proton.db so I have some hope.

yeah if you don't mind a rough start as a newcomer the game is still enjoyable when matchmaking happens to work.
But its just so sad to see go so many potential new players because of the issues. I don't blame new players getting bored of being slamed every 2 or 3 hours or being matched again and again vs the same guy that destroys them and then droping the game.

Also it is crashing a lot. Beside that, the game is fun and runs well when is not crashing (no fps drops or stuttering for me at least) and maybe the matchmaking and crashes will be fixed someday...
