Good game, with a lot to do... Maybe a bit too much side content. Towards the end, mostly played to finish it. With that said, I enjoyed the game and would recommend it on a sale.

Starts with a bang and ends on a high, it's just a shame the middle is such a slog. Lots of open world collect'a'thon stuff, but little need for it. The side quests are simple, even with confusing character motivations sometimes, but there's a few stand outs. And the combat, ugh the combat. There's so many enemy ambushes but only a handful of enemy types, so you're fighting almost the same way the entire game; it's a real slog.

Still, I had a great time with Banishers. The bosses are great and actually highlight the combat, the story is solid and I especially love the insane amount of dialog between the protagonists. Well worth a play and possibly a second if you wanted to make different choices and see one of the alternate endings.

the voice acting alone makes this game incredible, add in DONT NOD's fantastic storytelling and world building, and you're gonna be havin a good time.
