EXP Charms: Save Them For Guests!
Alright, I've come to realize something when it comes to the acquisition and use of EXP charms, and that is the fact it is pretty much wasteful to use them on your own army.

This is because the amount of EXP you get from completing a battle is evenly distributed among all the units who took part in it. But if they have already hit the level cap, then they do not get any EXP, which means a bigger cut for those who have yet to reach it.

In other words, the more units in your battle party who have hit the level cap there are, the faster those who have not reached it will catch up to them. I personally tested how crazy this can get when I hired a brand new unit at level 1, and managed to boost them all the way to the current level cap of 19 just from running a single training battle.

But here's the catch: you can't take Guests into training missions with you. They only participate in story missions.

That means that it's a little more difficult for the Guests to keep pace with your main army in terms of level advancement. Hence why you should spend your EXP charms on them, so that they don't lag behind.

Think I use mine on Catiua too but i usually put Vyce to sleep since his AI is annoying.

prefer using them on zombie untis that otherwise dont get exp

For the record info is not distributed evenly, lower level get way more xp thatn higher level units.

But yes with the level cap being so incredibly easy to reach (at least it's still true after 10 hours for me) the xp charms are basically pointless on anyone but guests characters, especially if they die stupidly during missions which they love to do in this version even more than before.

Seriously Vyce died in the three first missions back to back it was ridiculous.

it's perfectly fine is guests die in a lot of missions, because if you keep them alive for just one mission they will jump up in levels since exp distribution favours the lower leveled battle participants.
