Also, I got 2 pairs of sidhe boots (the teleport boots) from one of those side areas, so they have good loot. Once you get teleport or fly boots/rings on your characters, things go a lot smoother.
If there's any undead, you more or less have to disable the AI entirely. I've even seen AI attack downed undead with a cudgel even though they had exorcism slotted, and the MP to use it...
Catiua/Princess gets a holy water ability that's a skill not an attack, so it doesn't use your turn, and it helps tremendously with clearing undead in POTD.
My clerics keep wasting healing magic on the undead, instead of using it to keep my units in fighting condition. When I actually do knock them out, they'll cast Exorcism to finish it off. But wasting heals against the undead when my other units can deal far more damage is annoying.
If they have BANISH then they don't need exorcism. It instantly destroys any undead (save for Lich and Divine Knight) without having to down them.
And yes, it is a one shot kill; which is why trying to create an entire army of undead units is a terrible idea.
yeah it's called don't use the cheat engine table, cause i know what you're using. you're setting enemy HP to 1. the AI handles undead fine, they even use the exorcism consumable where and when they can
Unfortunately animation are locked to audio, so you can't boost it even harder =/
I can confirm this. I have never seen my units continue to attack downed undead while set to auto AI. They either move on to a new target, or try to exorcise them. So if their units are attacking people who are already down, it's because he's screwing with their programming.
In fact, they time it correctly that when downed undead hits 1 that they cast exorcist, while they prioritize healing before that.
