do we know if class learn new skill from 32 to 50 ?
and... now the question... which skills for a melee denam ?
considering we have 1 weapon skill + 3 free skill
skill 1 -> weapon
skill 2 -> 2Xattack
skill 3 -> pm conserve ?
skill 4 -> meditate ? or infuse light on weapons ?
seriously the 4 skills (well 1 weapon skills + 3 slots) is frustrating more than tactical... :s
The class has seemingly been nerfed by quite a bit in this version so it's not as good anymore while the lord class which was one of the strongest has stayed the same and is now probably the strongest class in the game. So from a gameplay perspective the lord class is better to get I'd say but from the ending perspective it's probably better to get the princess class first, though I personally don't agree with how the true ending plays out for the MC to be honest, depending on which route you took up to it.
That is correct. I even personally tested that out. You only gain access to the skills you have already unlocked from the other classes. You don't learn new ones unless you switch back. The exception to this are weapon skill levels and finishing moves.
Fusilier also seems to have gotten a tremendous buff. According to the wiki's I read, they used to be the worst class in the game when it came to stat growth. But I just got access to them, and these crazy bastards are shooting the enemy for somewhere around 400 damage!
I've had Denam using two handed swords for most of the game, and it seems to be working nicely. I wouldn't recommend spears, as I have had consistent problems with accidentally hitting my own units with their two square attack radius. One handed swords may be good, if you're planning to build him as a tank, but I personally prefer to go for maximum damage, rather than turtle strategy.
I mean, if you're doing a first run without a guide, you'll probably get the lord class regardless if you want to or not. Coming into the sequence where the story turns on this and you get access to either class with no knowledge and it's extremely stacked in the favor of getting Lord over Princess.
Maybe not. In my personal experience, there's only a handful of skills between each class which are actually worth equipping. As a Lord, you have the freedom to swap out and replace the skills based on what you currently need for the mission.
And it's even worse yet for spells.
Yeah, the limited spell selection is pretty crap when it comes to healers. But for offensive casters, I mostly just hyper specialize them towards a specific element. My go to option right now is to give them T 1-3 of their projectile spell, then T-2 of their AoE spell. I've barely used any status effect spells, seeing as how they tend to miss, or just not work most of the time.
The 4 skills you want are Weapon, 2x Attack, Mighty Impact and Phalanx. This basically makes your Lord a God of Destruction that really doesn't go down. Pick 1 Proc Card and Phalanx will proc pretty much 80% of the time. With Phalanx, pretty much everything was doing less than 30 damage to me and I had 2k HP.
