If you want to RP with certain weapons, it's also the only choice early on.
I give Denam a 2-handed sword, so he's stuck as a Warrior for most of the game.
Hopefully Terror Knight is better than it was on the PSP version.
As a knight your weapon types are more limited but you get special defensive skills and you can cast heal spells.
Both classes are viable. As long as you have the classmarks you can swap classes with no penalty so dont be afraid to try them out.
I went from Warrior -> Berserker -> Rune Fencer -> Warrior.
Hammer, Crossbow and Mighty Impact are very hard to beat early game, you will never waste a turn without doing damage.
1. Is skill class transferable? l don't find any game tips about it.
2. . So as you leveling up a class, you also level up the weapon skill for that class, and at lvl 10 i will get a finishing moves for that weapon?
Is that finishing moves transferable between classes?
3. If i go from Warrior to Knight. And i level up to level 10 using Knight, if i switch to other class, will i go back to level 1?
Even if they can't use that weapon, nothing a few rounds of training can't fix if you change their weapon.
For #3, no. Characters have their own levels and bonus stats, and then they get stats based on current level and current job
If changed class can use same weapon, then he/she can still use finisher moves too.
You dont lose your level when swapping classes. If you're a level 10 warrior and swap to knight, you become a level 10 knight. If 5 levels later you decide to go back to warrior, you are a level 15 one. No need to grind that class back up.
You don't lose your weapon skills or finishing moves when swapping classes. But some classes can't use certain weapons. So keep that in mind.
Thats why I said to not be afraid to try classes out. No penalty really.
1. so weapons level up and certain skills are shared between classes but there's class skills specific to each one now there's no unlocking say berserkers berserk and transferring it to another class.
that said alot of skills and passives got transferred to gear and these can be combined so 1handed swords now have parry which can level up to like parry +whatever but you can dual wield and have parry+1 and parry+2 and each attack on you would force a separate save roll on each level of parry. also some skills got added into finishing moves some got mixed into other abilities etc.
3. levels are tied to character so if denam is level 10 and switches from warrior to knight it doesn't matter since his character level is 10
After choosing the Law option for the start of Chapter 2, I changed him to a Terror Knight. Once again, I felt it was thematic for role playing purposes.
Unlike some of the other Ogre Battle games, there are no 'direct upgrades' to the classes. For example, you don't have a Fighter promote to a Knight, then promote to Paladin. Each class seems to be its own separate thing, so whether you try to keep them as one class, or swap them around is entirely up to you.
knight has more defense, heal, utility etc... you gain more VIT when leveling as knight
both are good, but once you unlock Terror Knight i advise you to switch Denam to Terror Knight, trust me
Terror Knight have a lot of damage, both physical and magic, high defense, and utility, you can debuff enemies so they will do less damage and take more damage, seriously they buffed Terror Knight a lot in this version i think its the best class for Denam
I can personally confirm that after a certain point in the game, my 2H Sword wielding TK Denam just started going HAM with the damage output. Like, he was decently strong before, but now he's somehow inflicting 400 something damage, and I don't know what the hell happened!
