If you use controller , game is good . Negative reviews are piss poor keyboard and mouse support that’s actually understandable .

It isn't bad, there is definitely a lot of production value and effort made to make the game play great.

I've seen the potential in the game that I suffered the janky controls and finished the demo.

Absolutely, as someone who played their previous game (Nioh 2) in KB+M for over 1500 hours, the KB+M controls were a huge downgrade in Wo Long.

And yes, there are optimization issues that needs to be addressed; sudden lag spikes during combat, volumetric fog, etc.

Kind of awful that Koei-Tecmo hasn't even acknowledged the issues and addressed them yet. In my opinion, this is a disappointing start so far.

Its bad if you dont have a controller. Some "smart" people think that peopel shouldnt review it based off this, but they dont realize the game not once is claiming on the store page, that it is meant to be played with a controller.
A game like darksouls claims that its best played with a controller, this gome does not :^). So its fair for people to get mad.
Its released on PC, with no indication it is meant to be played with something else. Obviously most PC players will be mad, you shouldnt have to pay an extra 10-80 bucks for a controller, on top of playing 60 bucks for the game xD.

Their other games work fine, even well with a mouse. I pref nioh 2 with a mouse by far.

Anyways the game is fairly good if you have a controller. If not, then well id wait till they fix it, or get a controller.

If you like team ninja (nioh, ninja gaiden, etc) then you will enjoy the game. Bad reviews are garbage people right now who don't own controllers or are upset their ancient hardware can't run the game.
