Ideas and things that would be helpful
Hello all! I wanted to start this thread to bring up ideas I or others have that would help improve Sun Haven game play. I would also like to say that Sun Haven is an awesome game. I am a huge fan of these types of farming games and love the fantasy aspect!
I will block out the things I believe would be possible spoilers!
Here are some ideas that I have had after many, many hours of playing this game:

* be able to make chests in each area - Right now, chests can only be made from Sun Haven. If I want to put a chest or two in Nel'Vari or Withergate, I have to go all the way back to my home farm and bring it with me. (It would be cool to have chests like Elven chests for Nel'Vari and dead-wood chests for Withergate.)

* Make chests stack-able - When traveling with multiple chests, room in the inventory quickly gets used up. Especially when foraging on the way to the intended location.

* Show hearts for more than just the dateable characters - Currently, hearts can be earned for other characters, however it does not show in the relationships tab. (I cannot tell if the amount of hearts makes an impact on dialogue, so that would also be nice)

* Food in Nel'Vari - There is a dining area/tavern first thing when we enter the Grand Tree, even a counter to walk up to. Adding a couple Nel'Vari treats or items Slate is brewing that we could purchase would be a lovely addition.

* Donovan quest - At one point in the dialogue with Donovan, he states he lost the scent of someone/something he was tracking. One of the options to respond is something like "do you need help?" He accepts the help, but no quest is started. I don't know if this is a glitch or intentional.

* Nel'Vari collectors - I put collectors around my farm in Nel'Vari to collect all the peanuts, crystals, and other items that can be retrieved from visiting animals. When I did this, I noticed it does not collect from all the animals/beings and does not change by adding more collectors around the farm. Maybe a possible addition could be separate collectors for farm animals versus visiting animals/elementals?

* Mounts in Nel'Vari - The options for mounts in Nel'Vari are so cool! I love the options and color differences in each mount. I do, however, think it would be great to have faster options. For example, two or three way higher priced options with higher movement speed?

* Elven ore/steel - It took me a while and a lot of grinding to find out the only way to get elven ore is by buying it from the shopkeeper at the bottom of the stairs. There are a lot of steps and cost to getting this ore with a low pay-out. Grind for ore for the keys, smelt keys, grind for shards, pay 75 mana shards for each ore, smelt 4 into one bar. Then, after all the work put into getting the bars, the only thing that can be done with them is to use as payment for armor. I feel like this is a great missed opportunity to build more lore for Nel'Vari.

* Wool! - I have SO MUCH wool, I don't know what to do with it! Lol! Maybe I am overlooking a place to use it, but from what I have found, I only see a couple options. It would be cool if woolen gloves/hats were added to the loom.

* Golden items - I honestly just wish I could use the golden items to craft. Now that I have almost all the perks for getting the golden items, I collect a lot of them. It would be cool if I could craft a golden rug from the wool.. or for gold fruits, if they had the same health/mana perk, but stronger. For example, if regular peaches permanently provide 8.15 max spell damage (when 100 are eaten), then golden peaches could provide a bit more. When I was at the point of being able to select the "fruits of midas" skill, I needed perks more than gold.
So I know that was a lot...I just have so many ideas! I have more, but I feel like I already wrote too much!

In response to the food in nel'vari, I could not agree more. It makes no sense to have basically a tavern but it does not sell or offer anything. And it annoys the heck out of me too that you cannot substitute golden items to craft stuff, since ironically it can actually end up making you fail quests or etc if your pets or trees want to give you gold versions of items you need for a time sensitive quest. Also in response to Donovan's quest, Pinto has a similar one where he says he lost his helmet and you get an option to say you will help him find it.

Nel'Vari collectors - The autocollector does work for the animals and things that visit your farm. I found however that it only collects in one - after leaving the elven house, and going down the stairs, the alcove to left. If you put a collector there it will collect from all of the alcoves. Additional autocollectors won't pick anything up. (Learned because I bought one collector per alcove initially... wasted money).

Honestly, they need to look at Nexus. The quality of life mods (not the weird character model mods) all need to be in the base game. However seeing it's been awhile since they posted anything here, and that bugs are still prevalent as well as the poorly paced (and from what I hear, poorly ending) story, I doubt this game will be the success they act like it is.

I would LOVE more things to do with the gold .... it seems really overlooked, esp with armor. and a easier way to drop items into museum slots like... i dont want to open EVERY one to see if the item belongs there

If you're unaware there's currently a mod to do just this. But yeah I desperately wish this was baseline, Dinkum has this same issue with Theodore's museum.
