Auto collector for alcoves?

Does autocollector work for animals in alcoves on the Elven farm?

Ok, I had an auto collector there and it was collecting from the alcoves. Then i started buying moths and a baby griffin and a tree stump. The auto collector bugged out and it was empty each day and only the most recent animal i bought was producing if I collected manually. Then i moved them all to a barn on my main farm and the auto collector started collecting from alcoves again. Apparently the auto collector at the elf farm can be overwhelmed if you have a lot of farm animals and alcove animals at the same time. So if you want to have an auto collector collecting fro alcoves, it might be best to put the moths and griffins and ents on your main farm instead.
