Master Armorer and Archery

Hi!

Just a question about game mechanics - I am making my character into an archer, and I thought the bush armor set would give a bonus to archery damage combined with master armorer - it doesn't seem to do so.
Does it apply only to newly crafted armor?
Does it apply only to melee damage?
In general it seems - so far at least - like archers are getting the shaft a bit, with no craftable crossbows except for the egg one, few or no armors that help (and if they do, not much), and foods that give + damage doesn't seem to apply to ranged, or have I missed something?

Anything else I should know?

The elf town has a crossbow shop that sells a powerful legendary quality crossbow. there's a armor that unlocks when you pick a skill in mining that is for archery. Craftable. I think it's the one that requires feathers. Those come from baby griffins, a barn animal from the elf town.

How does that armor interact with the master armorer skill?

I don't have one made to check. Here's a sceenie of the armor in the anvil. Is adds damage to all attacks.
