First you need to turn on the battery which is located behind the drivers seat, where all the switches are. This will turn on the electricity obviously. After that you'll need to activate the driver's cab like other trains. The switch is in front of you. Then you need to connect the pantograph with the powerlines. The switches for the pantograph are also right in front of you (the tooltip will tell you). Watch the screens, on the left side you have an info with electricity which the train takes, the green amount should be 3300.0v. On the right screen there is a section with pantograph status, two boxes should be green if your train is connected with the power line. Also right next to the pantograph switches on the right side is a control circuit switch, that needs to be activated too. After that, press the black main button to power up the engine (can take some seconds). You should hear the engine and the status boxes on the right screen should slowly turn green.
Now you need to clear the main air line of the brakes. There is this big white lever on the right side. You must press it down towards you and it will start to clear the main air line. Next you need to deactivate the spring brake. Its the red switch on the right side of your seat. Thats it, you're ready to go. The switch for direction control is right next to the smaller lever on the right side. This lever is also for acceleration. The lever on the left side is for cruise control and the big white lever is for breaking.
Sorry if some words may sound weird, I'm playing the game in German and dont know the specific key words ^^
And yeah it was fun to figure this stuff out on my own xD
+1 for all ;-)
When you look forward you'll see a red button to turn off the engine. Right next to it is a black button to turn on the engine ;-)
Both of these are located above the pantograph switches
