Don't remember how long this one took me, but it was under two weeks. But that's as a long-time player who had plenty of stuff stored up to use.
I could see noobs being very upset and not finishing them but after they start hording potions and dreamlight it's not so bad.
When I suggested we should maybe received multi colored content did not have that in mind, was thinking it would be nice to earn at the same time the different colors. :)
People are complaining constantly about the Star Path being too easy, as if it's meant to be some kind of twisted puzzle game.
If I want twisted puzzle games, I want them in the main game, not in monthly grind quests.
I would not mind if the duties were difficult to achieve, if there was kind of clever or interesting dynamic to it. But they keep them stupid simple because (reasons). They just are realistically outside the player's control entirely. You just fish and hope or accept it is going to take a few days to serve 15 diners in the one restaurant available for it. That really isn't fun unless there was something about it that made it fun. Maybe some special treat or a little cut scene.
I pretty much ignore the game anymore in any case. I came back for the Rift season...when it finally went on sale. The content we get is just not very interesting so I may not be back ever now.
And that can not be improved with potions, not when blue ripples are demanded.
Took me 2 days to complete that one, because overfishing the ripples caused them to stop appearing and very few of them were blue.
There are two restaurants eligible for that task, Tiana’s also qualifies.
But on some occassions, there was nobody in there, so that task slowed as well.
But yeah, the bonus tasks definitely started feeling "un-fun", especially with repetition.
"Get 10 memories" /sigh
"Get 10 more memories" /grumble
"Get *15 more* memories" oh, ffs
edit: this old thread has details on the bonus tasks, if anyone's still working on them and wants to know what to expect. . .

That actually turned out to be one of the easier tasks. Buzz & Woody is 6 possible gifts. So while "15" sounds like a lot at first, it's only 2.5 days. /shrug
edit: really, the "difficulty" of many tasks varies widely depending on if you're a new-ish player or if you're an old player who has piles of stuff stored in boxes. If you don't have to gather/harvest for them, they're pretty trivial. If you have to get all the junk, they're really awful.
If you have extra dreamshards saved up, there's a crafting recipe to turn them straight into dreamlight. But again, that's another "it's easy for people who've got piles of stuff stored away" thing. :P
