Purple Egg generation mechanic

I read a note that claimed 10 purple eggs will be generated every hour in the associated Realms.

Initially though, that seemed to not be the case, as I only found 3 per hour.
Later that night, the numbers increased, but the distribution appears to be completely random.
For example, most of the Realms had no eggs and Mulan's Realm had all the eggs,

Is this an inconsistent loot mechanic?

On my first check this morning, I found 9. 4-5 of them in Mulan's realm. I'll have to see what I can find this afternoon.

I'm all caught up on quests and have stumps, rocks, and more sand spawning in lion king realm. kind of strange.

I have not got any in toy story yet, my friend said she got one where i'm standing. I noticed this pile of stuff is kind of glitched in my game, she said it is in her game too. Not sure what's happening :D

Yeah, that's a bedside table, it's invisible right now in mine, too.

So I found 8 this time: 0 Moana, 1 Toy Story, 1 Lion King, 3 B&B, 3 Mulan.

Are we sure Moana is a location for them? I've been there three times since the event started, haven't found any.

I've had them spawn in all the listed realms. Because of the low cap they can cluster in one, just through RNG. As long as you get like 7-8 per try it shouldn't take too long, maybe 7 "just okay" runs max.

I've had a few in moana, zero in toy story, bunch in beauty and the beast and bunch in lion king and few in mulan.

I have found a few eggs in Moana, so confirmed.
I found 1 in Toy Story, 3 in B&TB.
My theory is that the larger areas allow for more eggs to be generated.

just noticed rocks to pick up spawning in mulans realm, not sure if they normally randomly spawn.

Even though I know they are not supposed to spawn in the monsters inc realm I went in and entered one of the doors and the bed side table from in there is missing too.

Went back to toystory realm and one did spawn in for me.

I agree. The amount seems to be more sporadic than actual ten eggs in total all at one time.
