Daisy challenge paywall
I really find it frustrating that the game has started locking progress behind paywalls. I got the Daisy daily challenge where I need Hercules items to complete it. I got a vase but it also want's me to display clothing. Problem is I don't have both expansions and the clothing is locked behind the second one OR I get the fantastic oportunity to pay real money to get the dress from the premium store... So I can't finish the daily unless I fork up money? Nope, that's where I draw the line.

Cancel the challenge and get a new one. It will occasionally brick and give you something stupid you can't complete or don't have.

Way to ignore the issue...

I hate to admitt it but I've spent enough time in this game to be able to complete all the challenges thrown at me until today. I buy everything available in the McD store each day and I've unlocked all villagers and their unlocks. Yet Hercules clothes are only available behind a DLC I do not own, OR a premium item. I have no intention of buying either atm. I can't complete the challenge and will never be able to complete the same one whenever I get it next time. If they did it now, they will surely do it more in the future, making the challenges paywalls in the future.

When star path has changed into having lots more grind, and timelocking functions like one boutique challenge per day, it just makes it even worse if you start locking in progression behind DLC and premium content. Are we just going to suck it up and accept that we might be unable to complete challenges at all unless we fork up more cash?

Because this is a non-issue.
The challenge can be cancelled and a new challenge chosen.
Just cancel the challenge and get a new one. it´s that easy.
I remember when Daisy used to be really frustrating, could not cancel challenges, had to literally wait 24 hours before doing another one of her challenges, they did improve her a lot. I don't think anything they do is purposeful, especially with Daisy. I don't think they are trying to up sell Eternity Isle through Daisy. Daisy is pretty much cursed, she has been since she came to the valley.

Daisy needs another overhaul: Daisy should ask players to perform challenge with only objects they have in their inventory, not all objects in game. See how easy that was.

Give challenges based in the items owned is something very easy to do, still Gameloft can't (or don't want) do it.

It is not that easy to do. It is possible but would require the game program to analyze your inventories (which would be a pause in your game), figure out what it can assign, (which would make the pause longer) and communicate that change to your game.

They probably took the easy method and gave you the ability to just cancel and ask for a new challenge. Much simpler to program.

Would be cute if they made daisy behave like dreamsnap challenge inventory helpers do, click on of each daisy type icons to place, would be way less confusing for players to understand what she's asking for. Maybe a highlight over furnishings and highlight over wardrobe. maybe challenges should kind of mirror those instead of daisy often asking to decorate and display cloths do one or the other for each challenge. She should also have ability to spawn manikins to use for clothing challenges.

For newer players it would be less confusing if she ran up to the stage and said something about using the stage to place objects from inventory. For as big of a feature as she was seems like they still need to refine it.

Maybe daisy could allow players to save clothing appearances we create using her challenges in her shop computer so we can use those for dreamsnaps later. Currently players only have like 4 appearance slots we can save outfits on, she could actually be more useful and store an entire catalog of appearances players create for her challenges. It would motivate me more to create more and be more creative in her boutique vs just spamming my way through her challenge with pre layed out furnishings and manikins that look crazy.

Also would be nice if had the ability of saving furnishing layouts we design for her so we can save those sort of like we do for clothing so we can use those templates later. Maybe extend our boutique to an outdoor garden challenge decor rooms too. Maybe daisy could unlock different themed rooms we decorate and can save. Just throwing stuff out there. There's so much potential.

my friend said we still don't have pants.

I can see gameloft trying to prevent perverted designs, but still could have those designs on dresses now that I think of it...; so instead of totally ignoring pants give us at least the ability to make different color pants vs half nude manikins.

Oh and my friend said they could at least let villagers pretend to shop in there, minnie does not go in there, scrooge said they could sell their stuff. minnie went awol.

one more thing, okay and for holidays they could decorate her boutique. same with scrooge. doesn't anyone there like to have fun? the game lacks dev personality. We know they are creative, is it that difficult to add some extra magic sometimes?

Everyone was so excited for Daisy when she first arrived and then she became a robotic nightmare... now she seems abandoned... this game needs a cruise director to ensure players are entertained at every opportunity and things that need improvement should be improved.

For fall I would love for them to introduce new jack-o-lanterns players can decorate. For christmas players could decorate stalkings. We need more activities. Every year they can add different types we can decorate, something to look forward to, there's really nothing anyone can look forward to currently. Anything, remember in school during holidays we would decorate stuff and hang stuff up (public school more western I guess.) (i seen a call the midwife where they went to parts of europe and villagers believed christmas tress were bad luck anyways). that little decoration in shop window would make a world of difference to players, we love it when you do cute things, don't do them cause you have to do them because you want to, yes that would involve making the most annoying customers happy for a brief bit of time.

I'm not really complaining, i'm just pointing out that they have a very cool opportunity; it's not fun to watch their ship head straight for an ice burg.

When they add cool things it's like they purposely do something crazy to sabotage themselves. It's entertaining, not making fun, it's charming. The valley is ready for prince charming to save the day :)

i have a friend in trouble think you can help?
Of course! I'm here to help. Could you share a bit more about the situation your friend is in? The more details you can provide, the better I'll be able to assist.

i'm afraid my friend has lost the will to be creative and they are always getting complaints about things they get wrong but they do so many right things. If you could give them any words of wisdom or famous quotes or both mostly anything what would you say to them to spark their creativity?

It's tough to see a friend struggling, especially when they're doing so many things right. Creativity can sometimes feel like it slips away, but often, it's just hiding around the corner, waiting for the right moment to reappear. Here are some words of wisdom and a few famous quotes to help spark that creativity:

"You can't use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have." — Maya Angelou\ This reminds us that creativity is an endless resource. Every attempt to be creative fuels the next one.

"Creativity is intelligence having fun." — Albert Einstein\ Sometimes, taking the pressure off and just having fun can help creative juices flow again.

"Don't worry about failures; worry about the chances you miss when you don't even try." — Jack Canfield\ Encouraging them to keep trying, even in the face of criticism, might be just what they need to hear.

"Every artist was first an amateur." — Ralph Waldo Emerson\ Remind your friend that every great creator started somewhere and made mistakes along the way. It's all part of the journey.

"The only way to do great work is to love what you do." — Steve Jobs\ Passion can often rekindle creativity, and loving what they do can help them push past the critiques and focus on their achievements.

Encourage your friend to celebrate their successes, no matter how small, and to be kind to themselves. Sometimes, a little bit of self-compassion and a reminder of their inherent potential can go a long way.😊

What do you think? Are there any particular kinds of inspirations or advice you think they'd resonate with more? Maybe we can tailor it even further!

I love it I'll send it to my friend thanks so much :)

You're welcome! I'm glad you liked it. 😊 I hope it gives your friend the spark they're looking for.
