There's no way to get it cheaper than its current discount, especially Storybook Vale since it was released fairly recently. If you're short on cash, your best bet would be waiting a few years (yes, years) for a deeper discount. That or pray that a kind stranger might gift you the whole package. Sorry, can't be me. Spent way too much over Christmas.

thats what i meant, i might have worded it wrong. the main game is on sale but wasnt sure if its cheaper to buy game then dlc or buy all at once via the Enchanted Edition. i meant in terms of the current sale. does this make more sense?

Ah, yes. Well, the enchanted edition isn't discounted. That's £66 or whatever it is where you live. That said, such bundles tend to cost a little less than getting everything separately, but it's rarely worthwhile savings.

There's also the fact that the expansions are, well, quite expansive. They're games in and of themselves and it can be overwhelming. One unlock early in the story while the other unlocks much later, but it'd be quite a lot for you to go through them as they're unlocked.

As someone who got the base game first a few weeks ago and then got the DLCs last week, I'd say stick with the base game first. I've played it for about 100h and while I'm somewhat close to finishing the overarching story, I'm nowhere near finishing everything it has to offer. Had I not rushed to unlock the last biome this weekend, I could've easily spent an extra 20-50h with side activities and personal goals.

You're not missing out by not getting the DLC right away. The live service portion of the game caters to the base game specifically, so get the DLCs when you're ready and when they're both on sale.

I would recommend buying the base game only if you are short on cash. It should take you a good six months to get through the story. Then keep an eye out for Rift in Time to go on sale again. $20 is a little steep IMO, but that may be as cheap as it goes this year.

I would wait on the new DLC. Realistically, you are buying the promise of future updates if you get it. If you wait, you don't have to play the piece at a time game with Gameloft. I did that with Rift and it was actually more fun to just have it all to play right now.

I could just get the base and rift then as you said wait for the new dlc because as you said I might not have to for updates?

It turns out buying everything separately in only saving like 1 pound or so
