Anyone else having trouble completing Memories?

I've put over 100 hours into this game so far, and I have yet to complete a single non-quest-related Memory. I'll get all but one piece to a Memory, and then the game decides it wants to start a new Memory. Oftentimes, when a Memory orb appears, and I collect it, it just turns into a measley handful of Star Coins. With the Inside Out 2 Memories, I've almost completed the first Memory, but now I'm getting exclusively coins from the hockey equipment.

I don't know if this is yet another of the myriad game bugs, or I just have seriously bad RNG, but it's starting to get frustrating. I want Disney stills to put up in my house, as well as the Inside Out rewards. This is some gacha BS. 😡

Ive been playing on and off since beta and I still only have a handful of memories completed. The orbs appear kinda rarely and getting a memory shard instead of coins is even more rare. The more memories you unlock, the harder it is to unlock the others. I'm in the same boat.

That is simultaneously comforting and discomforting 😅 At least I now know that it isn't just me

Anyway, an update on the situation: Since first posting this topic, I have been able to complete 2 of the Inside Out Memories. I still have yet to complete a regular Memory, though...

The memory appears to be random, and the choice is always from the whole pool, not from what you already have. As frustrating as it is, just about everybody is having your problem.

Yeah, I got over 250 hours now. Don't think I have a regular collect type memory fully unlocked. Pretty sure there is no protection on found pieces, it just gives you a random, so the more pieces you have the more likely you are to end up with coins on duplicates.

Also who set the memorabilia to 200, what an absolute stupid grind for Riley memories.

There is definitely a diminishing returns issue.
At my current stage of advancement, I rarely find a new memory, most of the time I find duplicates.

I am wanting the duplicate system to be abolished, so if I find a memory, the piece is always a new one.

I played 5-6h on saturday last week and completed all memories. I'm still working toward the 200 cumulative.. however i try to connect every evening for 5 minutes and a go gather some so I'm almost at 180.

Oh and for the other memories that are in the game all the time, it takes forever yeah lol. I played 300+ hours and still have a long way to go with this!
