If this happens, strict content restrictions will have to be applied.
Basically, only content based on the original movies or the cartoon shows.

Personally, I'd love to have R2-D2 in my valley.

The problem with Star Wars content is that it has to appeal to a much narrower audience, Star Wars isn't what it used to be. I mean you're already here - how many Star Wars fans will drop their shooters for an Animal Crossing rip-off?

I mean, I'm not dissing Star Wars cuz I've never even seen it, but I don't think it will attract more people to the game. And that's a lot more important to Gameloft than your valley looking beautiful.

I would not consider the Star Wars fanbase narrow, the number is quite significant.
But the statement might stand as correct about the percentage of those fans willing to come play this game.

Yes, Mandalorian is a much loved show, but as there is currently a legal dispute over that show, therefore, Gameloft would have to avoid incorporating that specifically into Dreamlight Valley, unless they want to be drawn into the conflict.

Hence my comment about having restrictions about what can be added.
Simple explanation: the movies and cartoons are age rating appropriate for this game, the other shows are not.

Don't really think Star Wars fits in with tinkerbell, mulan, mickey, and the like. Just my opinion though.

Magic Kingdoms (Gameloft's mobile Disney park builder game) has Star Wars characters.
So the concept works.
Not wanting the characters is not the same as saying they can't fit.

In terms of legality though, Gameloft can only add animated or non-human characters, due to the laws relating to reuse of a actual person's likeness.
So if they added Star Wars characters, we'd only get the robots, costumed or cartoon characters:

R2-D2.
C3PO.
Chewbacca.
Yoda.
Ahsoka Tano.
Sabine Wren.
Ewoks Ewoks Ewoks.

Just to highlight some examples.
There are no doubt many other animated StarWars characters that can be added.

I personally hope not or very late. I feel it doesn't really fit into the whole valley, maybe something like yoda or ewoks but everything else is maybe not so fitting. I would prefer them adding more of the old disney things like snow white and focus more on the past disney times

I wouldn't mind a Star Wars characters. I would like Pirates of the Caribbean characters too. Bringing in the entire Disney universe has its appeal.

I would like see a Star Wars realm, only if it features what real Star Wars is. I mean, anything previous to the femi-trash and woke-trash, of course. Every women previous to "that" is a real warrior and worthy to be named.

I like original star wars very much but i don't think it has a place in dreamlight valley. That game so much doesn't feel like having such franchise included. Star wars was making alot of sense in Fortnite not in dreamlight valley? Really? Nahhhh. Would prefer they keep add classics like Pocahontas, fox and hund, bambi, etc. It's more what dreamlight valley is all about IMO!

I think I know to what you are referring to and I would immediately be sending a "letter of concern" to Gameloft if they added the show in question or the lead character as a Villager.
The Star Wars fanbase as a whole would descend on this game like a mighty wave of retribution if Gameloft did so, therefore that is not a risk that can be taken.

But to comply with the regulations, Gameloft can only add animated Star Wars characters, so only robots, animalistic or cartoons.
Hopefully that should be a restriction that would keep the mature rated characters and the associated conflict of interest out of this game.

Honestly, Cara Dune is the only new Star Wars character I want in this game, but due to the aforementioned legal dispute, she won't/can't be added.
