Scrooge Still Giving the Park Fest Weekly Quest?

Scrooge gave me this quest today june 6? I went to speak with him to order from catalog and before I could do so had to accept this quest.

I thought he was supposed to have to stopped offering this mission too, but he still was yesterday.
WALL-E for comparision, was not offering his event mission.

Oh my gosh, Scrooge is still offering the weekly mission and the event ended over a week ago.

I don't think he'll stop offering until the next major update, when we get Mulan.
Hopefully that is not too far away.

I was wondering about this as well. Haven’t played for a bit since finishing the popcorn buckets and was like “Didn’t the event end?!” Very confusing and I thought I had to update or sync with the servers or something, but I was connected to WiFi and my cloud save is fine so I assume it’s just still in the game. Just ignoring it and hopefully it goes away soon.

Is there a way to opt out of the events? I really have no interest in completing them. When the cupcake thing came around there were 2-3 villagers that absolutely insisted on me fixing them cupcakes and would not let me talk to them about anything else until I made them, so I was essentially locked out of using them for the whole day because I didn't have access to Remy yet.

Not yet, I had to complete the weekly one I had to accept in order to order stuff from scrooge that never went away after accepting it. So far he has not tried to offer me another one. I'll never be in need of celebration balloons or waste management containers ever again :D

Yesterday wed june 20 after I purchased the premium cute little tree planter he did not offer me a quest when I went to order more of those from him, so think we're in the clear of those for now.
