I learned that they do plan to charge for some update items via the store. (Essentially DLC) So far, the Devs have felt more than fair to me, but I am also concerned that Disney may be putting some pressure on Gameloft to raise the licensing profits for Disney.
I guess I will vote with my feet if it starts feeling like just a money sink versus really limited to cosmetic purchases.
Now I have a reason to buy Eric's sailing ship, because I can put that out in the water and have my original house too.
They will probably just link to the same instance interior though, so each house won't be a seperate memory/performance hog.
Was that final house a teaser of upcoming content?
