Would like a bigger limit for sure though.
I would actually like more space so I don't have to worry about upsetting some game play dynamic. Still remember having to move one of my houses because I picked an NPC meet up spot down on Dazzle beach.
If you were to hypothetically transfer a PC savegame with items above Switch’s limit, the client on Switch would crash.
I'm recently in same boat struggling to keep content below 3000 i'm picking up wood and flowers that helps but like right now logged in and my count is back up to 3028, so anytime I wish to place 1 seat I have to literally pick up 28 sticks or flowers.
I have farms in every biom with native plants over all less than 1000 plants, then we have to apparently factor in the spawning flowers, and wood from trees, which leave little room for decorating a farm valley. I would spend more time in world if I had more space to get more creative.
I don't buy the Switch argument because ACNH didn't have a limit and it was exclusively on the Switch.
The limit is going to be what keeps them from moving from a decent game to a great game.
