I’m trying to transfer my switch Dreamlight valley over to Steam, but I’m having problems

Someone said I had to have the same name on my account. I’m assuming with Gameloft but I can’t sign in the game loft. So that I can make sure they’re both the same I even tried forgot password it says my email doesn’t exist but I get emails from game loft. Can anybody help

yes on your switch go to settings, help, make sure you save to the cloud, then hit show user ID. write it down or take a picture or something. THAT is what you will put in when you go to launch the game in steam. you use the cloud save to transfer the game.

yes. it will work for any platform except playstation.

that is odd. when you start up the game and are on the start screen there should be a button about a cloud save, that is how it should let you transfer. as long as you have your user id from the game.

Can you play the same account on both? I bought the deluxe edition on the switch so will it be ok if I buy only the base version for steam?

yes you can go to settings, make sure your cloud save is up to date, and get your player id to transfer the cloud save. the only one you can't transfer from/to is playstation

If actually ingame, these will be in a menu on the far right.

You only need to buy the base version on Steam, since the unlocks will be shared via the cloud save.

The only thing that is not shared is the DLC purchase, so you won't be able to visit Eternity Isle on Steam/PC.
But the items gained can be used ingame as long as you bring them to the Valley.
If you store the items in your main house, they are universally accessible from both locations.

hi, im also trying to transfer from switch to steam deck. I logged into cloud but it says new game.
