Wall-E First Mission Bug (the shy little robot)

My game seems to have bugged out during the Wall-E Mission. When I first loaded into his realm, I was not able to do any action, but luckily that was fixable with a simple restart of the game. However, during my second try, I removed some of the trash piles before Wall-E gave me the related task. I now can not seem to progress any further with this mission as there are no more trash piles left to complete it. I have tried to find a solution on Google but could not find any conclusive answer. Will the trash piles re-spawn? Is there a known fix to this?

Another player mentioned the fridges in his realm vanished.
