is the 2500 moonstone premium worth it?
Bought the premium with 2500 moonstones. I did this to gain access to the additional 3 duties. The thing is, I did a bunch and now the 3 duties that are on the bottom row are gone. Yes I did a bunch, but hopefully they reset daily? I feel like I was led to believe that it was similar to dreamlight duties, in which I can have an endless supply as long as I was willing to put the time in doing them. Well as far as the even duties go I'm time-gated by the 3 on top, and the bottom row is empty...I hope this is not by design, else I won't be using stones next path.
This was also my firth star path so if anyone has gone through a similar experience, let me know in the comments, thanks

Sadly no more will appear, you get enough to get everything and nothing more :/ you don't really earn your moons back with profit otherwise it be too easy to do one payment and never buy again and companies don't want that

The two rows should always be full if you paid for it. Unless you literally did everything. They are not endless, so you will run out if you get every single item in the star path. It seems like you shouldn't be able to do all of them except three this soon, since some of them are designed to take more than a day. Though I have not seen them all, so I don't know.

yeah I dunno who led you to believe anything, but no the star paths have a finite amount of duties, you'll eventually run out. Which it seems that you have. You finished the event with time to spare, that's all.

This particular star path seems to have less duties available than the last one (the one over Christmas) when I was able to almost pay for my premium costs. I ran out today as well with only a couple timed duties left. Seems that finishing will allow you to buy everything, but only just.

There are only ever enough duties to provide enough event currency (maybe a little extra) to unlock every Star Path reward, and that's it. The event duties are not unlimited, and you cannot make back your Moonstones purchase price, let alone earn extra. The closest you can come is by purchasing the higher level Premium unlock, the one that gives you the extra event currency right off the bat. Then you'll be able to use it after all of the other Star Path rewards are obtained in order to make some of your Moonstones back on the final reward page.

The numbers might have changed if they tweaked this Star Path any, but the last time I figured the math out, if you complete all of the duties and obtain all of the rewards, you end up being out a total of 500 Moonstones overall for the lower level Premium unlock and out 400 Moonstones for the higher level Premium unlock. Not a huge difference there, but you definitely never break even on these. So the Premium Star Paths are only ever worth it if you actually want any of the Premium rewards included on them.

I've been playing since the game first released into Early Access, and I've done all of the Premium Star Paths so far. This is the first one that I'll be skipping.

It depends on your personal preference.

For me, the premium path wasn’t good because there aren’t enough decorative items for this one.
I like physical objects I can place in my valley, not motifs.

This one is unusual in that regard, it’s mostly motifs whereas the previous one had more objects.

You get like 2000 back from the 2500 you spend, with the new blue chests at 50 per you can earn the difference back in 10 days. Couple of friend costumes, a pet and some other bits and pieces. Doesn't seem too bad, even if you aren't super hyped about any reward in particular.

I always buy the extra bonus 100 currency star path - you pay 800 extra moonstones for it - and I always do every duty - which gets me every reward and the final page 1 time.
But now on the last page I use the extra 100 currency to buy the "90 moonstones for 10 currency" 10 extra times gaining me 900 moonstones so I gain 100 moonstones every event. :conhappy:

The last page is repeatable, and you do make Moonstones from it when looked at in that light. But you're still not gaining Moonstones overall when you look at your total Moonstone purchase price to unlock premium and what you make back from it. Gaining extra Moonstones using the higher premium unlock versus the lower one, yes, but you're still losing Moonstones overall when it comes to the Star Path. Just to clarify for anyone else who happens across this thread that you cannot make Moonstones from these unless you're only doing the free version of them.

The higher Premium unlock with the starting bonus currency IS the best deal, though, if you're interested in actually collecting all of the rewards from the Star Path. If people are only interested in trying to farm Moonstones, then the free version is the best for that.

The basic level costs 2500, and you get 2000 back. -500
Premium costs 3300, and you get 2900 back. -400

So you're not gaining 100 moonstones, you're losing 100 less. ;)

(and then, of course, you're also getting the daily moonstone chest, over 40 days of the path. By the old 10/chest, you'd break even after 40 days if you bought the 3300 level.)

Well you are 'gaining 100 on the assumption you are purchasing one of two the premium paths! (or losing less is just if you include not doing the premium path at all) but seriously even with the 10 a day I was always ahead of where I started before I bought by the end of the event. Now we get 50 a day so wow all back and enough extra to buy some of the premium store items. Looks like the only way I'll be depleting my stack of moonstones is by buying the premium store items or if I stop logging in to get my daily blue chest - but it only takes a few minutes to look in and spawn your chest(s) and if you don't even find where they are they will wait for you.

I sometimes cannot find a chest for days and you keep getting new ones. If I finally find the hidden one - I get a double chest day. I also noticed a couple times I just could not find a green chest and after a few days it got moved to the starter area (double green chest day). Blues chest same thing.

You clearly never played Fortnite, not only you get the vbucks u spend back but also you get 550 more, that means you could only buy it once, earn the rewards and buy it the next time for free. But Fortnite knows how to get you to spend without feeling you got scammed.

Meanwhile, this game doesn't make you spend at all. Especially now that we have dreamsnaps. I've never bought any extra moonstones, but between all the ways there've been to get more in-game, I've currently got ~33000. And I've gotten every premium star path since Dec 22, and probably 1/3 of the things sold in the moonstone shop.

But beyond that, you're replying to something from a year ago.
