Mini-Casita.... why you so damn big?
I understand the house in the movie is huge but GAWDDAMN. I wanted her to live next to me, not envelope an entire biome with the house lol

Also, I can't place paths under the house like I do with the other houses in the game, which means dig sites spawn to close to the house :/

Anyone else unable to put things near Casita?

Yeah, the "mini" Casita isn't quite so mini.
(I had a nice big spot near the restaurant, Remy's house, and Scrooge's, figured I could fit another couple buildings there. . . but I ended up having to rebuild some paths and move around other stuff because the Casita filled all the space and then some. :D )

And yet the inside is tiny...

I was so disappointed on the inside would of expected abit more space at the sides, look at Remy's place now, it has what looks like the start to a hallway

ugh yes. my thoughts exactly. WHY. SO. BIG.

True... it's huge and I'm going to have to redecorate the entire meadow for it. I don't want her to live in the biomes I've emptied due to the deco item cap. And it already makes me worried about future residents who will need housing.

This! This exactly!
Why oh why must the houses be so big? There's nothing "mini" about this Casita, for sure... and other houses are just way too big too. I'd have wanted all houses to keep to Moana's home type size, so that I could maybe make a little residential area up in 'Valor, but sheesh. Mini Casita has taken up a good third of that space all by itself.

We're not going to have any room left for harvestables or spawns soon, because every new character brings another huge house and we don't get new biomes at the same rate.
Why can't couples and family at least live together, like Anna, Kristoff and apparently now Olaf do?

Yes! I went through the same thing lol, and I was planning on her living next to me too. My son ended up helping me and I put her up in the woods, had to remove trees and stuff. Then as with others I find it's super tiny inside! I Love the idea all the doors around it are for her family members, but I can't go in them!

I am thinking avoiding the construction of the Casita was a good idea now.
I have limited build space available and am not looking to reduce it further with an oversized construction.

It's not like Gameloft's Magic Kingdoms where if you decide a building is too inconvienent, you can just put it in storage and remove it from the map.
Once built, it can only be relocated, not removed.

We don't have all the buildings/homes yet, so I want to make sure I have build space available for the others not yet released.

The only reason I could set up Casita was because there was space behind Scrooge's shop and next door to Remy's house. I had to move a tree, some pavement, and flowers, but it worked out okay. But you're right, for a miniature version of her family's house, that thing sure is huge!

I ended up putting my up on the hill in the sunlight area. It is a little odd that it is one room on the inside based on the outside. That said, the whole game uses the Tardis principal. I lost interest in my house because it was so stupid to have a small house with 20 floors on the inside. They really need to rework the house and changing floors feature. A simple real elevator would be nice.
I'm assuming it's sized like the real one to factor in the rest of the Madrigal family being added at some point in the future. Dunno how anyone doesn't have room for it, though, it's a perfect fit in the otherwise empty sunlit plateau.

I have it right next to Merlin's house but it'll change around the time the official game is released or when Princess Jasmine comes out. I haven't decorated my town yet, cause we don't know what we will see by the time the game is no longer early access. I'll move her when this time comes. I feel the the inside is lacking cause we are just waiting for her family to come along too. That said I think everyone really wanted to explore Casita so it was annoying to only have one room to look at.

I put the mini-Casita up in the Forgotten Lands, near the fountain and across from the pumpkin house.

There is a perfect spot for the Casita between the stairs down to the meadow and just to the right in the big open plot of land there. It is the land with the pond in the back and a sign pointing towards the glade. You need to move a few things around like the sidewalk, some trees, and Goofy's stand. Goofy's house faces the back left side of the house and Goofy's Stand is to the right front of the house. I even have enough room to walk around the house and fish at the pond.

see i noticed there are more doors on the outside, I am wondering if more characters from the movie will be added and the house's other doors will be usable to enter their rooms
