As far as I can tell from watching gameplay videos, custom characters seem to be exclusive to World Tour mode?

Because I can't find any videos of two customs fighting each other.

You can play against others custom characters of players in the center of the battle hub.

Well, apparently nobody is interested, because I've been looking around youtube and there is literally not a single video of custom character matches as of the time of writing this.

Hell, even the Screenshot section barely shows off any custom characters.

Do people really just hate the idea of creating custom characters in this game? It seemed a lot more popular with Soulcalibur 6, and that game had a drastically more limited creation system.

Seriously, I've been searching for the last several days now, and still can not find even a single video showing custom characters fighting each other. It's all just official pre-made characters, and it's getting irritating.

Seriously, I've been searching for the last several days now, and still can not find even a single video showing custom characters fighting each other. It's all just official pre-made characters, and it's getting irritating.

I mean, I can tell you from a lot of experience, and can even upload some content to streamable (won't be a long clip) that plenty of people do play the mode, especially on the populated servers. Even have plenty of regulars at that you start to notice and match up with day to day haha.

But if you want a low down on it, its a mix of RPG and fighting game, like WT. Your characters levels, gear, and all effects they have carry over just minus the ability to use items while fighting, as well as any special moves youve picked up from WT mode. Its basically just plucking your custom character from WT mode right into battle hub and thrashing each other.

Also, keep in mind when comparing this to SC, SC's largest casual selling point has ALWAYS been the character creation and such, and it was also a major selling point of SC6. SF6 its also a major selling point, but its not a very serious/competitive thing, and while there are people who definitely play it and enjoy it, the most played modes are still definitely ranked and casual match modes/cabinents where you play with the Street Fighters themselves.

The thing is, Avatar Battles (that is what they are called in-game) are just done for fun. They got no ranks, it can be unbalanced as hell (and often is), and so there is no real appeal to streamers or YT creators to make vids about it, because it wouldn't generate interest or views.

Edit: That, and people are still grinding for the max Level of 100, before throwing themselves into this, I figure.

Streamable link with a round of avatar based combat. Kind of forgot I had been grinding E.Honda's style in WT mode, so wasn't really prepared to do much fancy, but you can create some absolutely wild combos with the combination of characters moves. Easy and powerful one for a level 2 super, do chuns level 2, plus zangiefs aerial OD command grab, and you have some pretty massive damage for just two bars and an OD move.

I typed in "Street Fighter 6 Avatar Battle" and I'm finding loads of videos lmao

You have to play the World Tour Mode for one, also you have to level them up. It's not so simple like SCVI where you make a character and can go online right away.
