Does anyone know how food / markets work? my people keep starving :c
Sooo i made a hunter camp thingy and they got meat and their supply was full but no one was getting food so i though maybe if i make a market they will so i made a plot with space for 55 markets and they made a single fuel market and didn't make anymore...... i don't see anyway to force them to make food markets they made one fuel one and left it at that and everyone started to starve, how do i get them to take the food? can someone please help me i'm so lost :c

veggie and egg is always two of ur main food source

(u wanna choose a place closer to ur granary, make 2logging camp and surround it with roads, delete the camp, make one big 1+1house inside this space for veggie farm, u need 2 of this veggie farm asap )

then u should start making all other houses surrounding ur market place(towncenter)producing eggs, except choose somewhere slightly further away to make ur production center and those house near production center produce beer weapon armor etc(keep their house tier 2 and make them 1+0 housing, they work at home only, giving them more family only slow ur progression early game)

at very beggining of game look at ur rich resource to decide which 3rd main food source u gonna get

(animal rich+tech+policy=meat, berry rich+tech berryx2 = berry, fertileland = farming bread)

if nothing else go for apple(i just tested, u need very big lot for apple housing, maybe do slighly bigger than 2 logging camp size lot, and first apple delivery need pantry full to trigger it, or else it will sit in house forever, so dont upgrade it to tie2 before the first apple harvest)

only let granary worker operate stall

each granary/warehouse only have 2 hand cart (more than 2 family doesnt help any delivery speed)

each stall has 50 limit

and 5leather 5linen 5yarn doesnt satisfy 15houses' needs
they want 15 of same item, so choose which one u wanna mass produce and stick with it, dont waste time on other item, except early game everyoen use leather before getting linen or yarn(switch later)

make multile granary and warehouses surrounding a big empty space(use logging camp and road path to make a square and delete logging camp)
this empty space is where u wanna build 3 market stall early game and delet it and
expand it 1 stall by 1 stall as game progress
u only need food and firewood stall before u finish church for upgrade then make tannery to operate 3rd stall
later u gonna add 1 more stall once u able to produce cloth(shoes leather or cloak)
once u get massive prodcution of food, throw in 1 family to help 1st granary
once u have overflow of multiple different types of food separate them into different granary and let them open another stall or 2


my suggestion is leaving room for 3granary and 3 warehouse surrounding market
since stall have 50limit , its best to separate food storage late game(1 types of food in 1 granary) early game u can store all kinds of food in same granary

same goes to
warehouse for fabric(choose 1 from linen,yarn,leather)
warehouse for clothing(choose 1 shoes cloth cloak)
warehouse for heatsource(choose 1 from firewood charcoal)

if u have 50 houses
u need 4types food 50 each to satisfy tier3 houses(towncenter closer to market)
tier2 houses need 3 types of food 50 each (they are ur production center worker who do beer, weapon, shield armor, bow, shoes etc)
