i read few books from Morgenstern, and while visiting Germany i used to say guten morgen on reception in the morning, thats it :D ... but this experiences are not usefull for this XD

I don't know if this is how this is implemented in this game, but historically it was an area one person could plow or harvest in one day. What was interesting about it, that fertile soil, which was easier to plow would translate to a larger area, than rocky soil which would take more effort to plow.

I don't know if this was developed to be variable like that, but this unit of measurement was translated to a different land area in different regions of Europe. I can imagine as farming technology improved, so would that measurement. Anyways, that is the concept how it came to be.
