Likelihood of a shared universe with Lethal Leauge?
What do you think are the chances of the world of BRC being connected to Lethal League? I know that Base and Jay exist and are clearly based off of Switch and Jet respectively, but seeing as they're DLC and supposed to be different people, I feel inclined to say that they're non-canonical.

Those two aside however, I don't think there's anything that's for or against them sharing the same world. I don't recall seeing any direct references, but its possible that there could be an advertisement or a store in the background of a Lethal League stage thats seen in Bomb Rush. Anyone else have any ideas about connections?

I think Base and Jay, who are just very slightly different Switch and Jet, being in the game at all is an indication it's a different universe. There probably aren't doppelgangers of those established characters running around, so they would've just been themselves if they were the same people.

The Bomb Rush universe doesn't seem to be a place with talking anthro lizards or reality-warping candymen. There may be some parallel elements, like things that were in the LL universe that are slightly different to more closely align with BRC, but I don't think there's ever going to be concrete proof that the two games are in a shared setting, just nods and easter eggs that they are from the same company.

Fair enough, but I thought if the world could have elements like the cyberheads and getting robots to dream then something like lizard people wouldnt be out of the question (even if Latch may be a special one off case).

I never really expected any concrete proof between the two of them, but I thought it would be cute if they were confirmed through something small, like an advertisement or a store existing in both games

Cyberheads and dreaming machinery are far more plausible than human-sized, biped talking lizzards or reality-bending candymen. Just look at cyberpunk media from the last 40 years and Westworld.

I think any such references would end up being easter eggs more so than confirmation that both games take place in the same plane of reality. It's rather common for developers to self-reference without having their games share a universe.

Yeah I'm not saying that the existence of the cyberheads and robot advancement confirms the existence of entities like Latch and Candyman, but more so that it could open the door for that kind of thing. The universe of BRC is fantastical, and if people could do things like the replacement of someone's whole head then I don't think it'd be out of the question for someone to experiment with animal mutation and stuff like that. Not that I'd expect to see an alligator person walking around the streets of New Amsterdam.

And yeah, I think the best connection would probably be a subtle easter egg. To be honest, the way I thought about it before was that they were in the same universe but just on different parts of the globe, with LL most likely taking place in/around the United States while BRC is in Europe.

What I mean is, the robotics in BRC don't necessarily mean that biogenetics to the level of LL would be just a small leap. Having your head replaced by a machine isn't at all fantastical when compared to sci-fi from the last 40 years, whereas a human-like lizzard tends to be on the unbelievable side. You usually don't see the two in a single sci-fi setting. It happens, but far from often.

Yeah and as far as we know theres not much, but there could also be some underground lab somewhere experimenting on some animals and suchm but of course thats just pure conjecture. All I'm saying is that it wouldn't be out of the question, but as far as we know, very unlikely.

Now the Mecha Latch skin on the other hand...
