There are already a load of characters and 2 DLC characters, but I’m hoping for a new area or two in the future

game so good i need more maps to hit sick tricks on

there are rumors that the devs have no plans to expand with levels or anything, especially since the main message at the end of the game and in some interviews is "Go Outside," but I really hope the strong fan response gets us something else out of the game. This is my fave game from the past 10 years and any extra content has a guarantee to be amazing.

(also, as someone in a wheelchair, it'd be kinda hard for me to learn BMX irl lmao)

Yea i THINK one of the devs said they had no plans to add any further content.:steamsad:
Ganna have to rely on the modders later on

The reception has been so good, I would totally love DLC areas/maps - I feel like we already have lots of characters. I would also purchase trick DLC if it was dope enough...

Devs have mentioned no future content planned, but i think its a waste since theres so much we can do in the already existing areas. Just give us challenges to do and a way to track them so we can repeat them over and over again

All they need to do it release an editor for people to be able to make custom areas/zones.

i remember reading that and got me wondering if it was too early to say that, after playing brc id say yeah. Ive said it multiple times but this game has SO many areas of opportunity to just leave it as it is and move to the next game. From what ive seen the reception has been great on both switch and pc and theres still both consoles release. Best case scenario would be if they worked for a year or two on this game to expand it as much as possible before moving on. They have a rich game to mess with, wanting to exploit its full potential will make the experience even greater.

Yea i completed the game 100% this morning (aside from missing a few boards and 1 skate) and just hope they add more some lil challenges or possibly new areas/chars

It hasn't even been a week. Just wait, they at least need to see how much it sales and deal with bugs before they can even consider if it's worth it to make more content. Even then, you can't force inspiration

If you are talking about ad on content, then no. Stop encouraging nickle and diming.

I don't think Team Reptile is going to go full fortnite or overwatch with this one, friend. If they do release anything extra in the future, it would almost definitely be substantial enough content to warrant an extra $10 or whatever, if they even decide to charge for it, which indie devs don't always do for content updates in games like this.

Based on the quality of everything already released, I think I'd pay whatever price they want for anything extra. There's really no topping the artistry in the base game, so nickle-and-diming is about as far from my mind as possible rn.

Im not saying i want new content THIS INSTANT im just hoping one day aka in many months time or even longer away

It's a little late for that. Lethal League Blaze has a substantial amount of cosmetic DLC. Considering the character DLC we have right now, I'd imagine they'd release more of those and, in LLB's fashion, more distinct character outfits than just recolours.

ngl tho, a proper expansion with maybe two more districts would be neat. On top of that, it'd be nice if there were repeatable challenges with a leaderboard, something I think they could add as a free update instead of a paid DLC.

And finally, I think this game is an opportunity to retry something Hover did: a tool for players to create and share their own challenges. This could come with more tight-knit race mechanics, such as checkpoints like the races in Hover. I appreciate the open-ended nature of the gameplay, but there's little reason to come back to BRC besides finishing our collections post-game and zooming around the maps just because we feel like it. It's always nice to have actual mechanics to engage with, tho.
