So, a question about Red... (SPOILERS)
After Faux beheads Felix and tosses his old body into the abyss, is the Red we get to play as after finishing the game technically not canon? Or did someone recover Faux's old body and make Red an actual Cyberhead?

I like Red's design, much more so than Felix's, so if there were any *ahem* sequel plans (too soon, I know), I'd like Red to actually return. Is it pointless now that Felix is alive and kicking? In a way I suppose, but if that's the case, then why is Red still playable in the post game?

i really like the idea of the post-game version of Red being an actual cyberhead attached to Faux's discarded body. It seems pretty possible, given as when playing as post-game Red, you can talk to Felix. it makes it feel like post-game red is an entirely different cyber-person from Felix. hopefully they do something with that concept!!

The problem with this is how does the cyberhead on post-game Red even know what happens in the story? How does it know about the struggle of all city, the drama, what BRC is about? If it's a new head, it wouldn't even know these characters honestly, and to that detail; I definitely wouldn't consider it "Red".

I really think it's just a post-game courtesy and not canon, since the cyberhead was a mask over Felix the whole time.

That being said, I would have also liked Faux to be unlockable somehow, even tho I hate him personally given the story / him being the DBag and also Escher too.

That crazy black guy who ran the police force would be cool too.

Simple question, simple answer: Red is still playable because it wouldn't sit well with a lot of people if the devs took away something we had for the entire game. That Red isn't canon.

I also don't see how Red would work on a sequel. The cyberhead was never a cyberhead, to begin with. For Red to come back canonically, someone would have to behead Felix yet again and plop his head on Faux's mangled body. And then, for whatever reason, they'd put that cyberhead on him as a helmet of sorts.

If and when they start working on a sequel (which I'd imagine would take a few years), I hope they either continue the story or come up with a new protagonist. They could very well revamp the characters' designs, as Smilebit did for JSRF. Who knows? BRC2 Felix could win your heart.

Simple idea on an answer, we did have a spare cyberhead around. The White Cyberhead that shot Red Felix and got clocked with a skateboard. Could have easily taken his head and plopped it on Faux's discarded body.
in spite of whats cannon or makes sense; I'm so glad that Red is still about, I liked his design too much and instantly started googling when I thought I lost the guy I liked playing. (and got here)
new head canon, flesh prince and dot exe put red together

Given that Flesh Prince has about a hundred of those same heads laying around in a heap, it's not a stretch to say that the new 'Red' is a Red 2.0. Given what some of the Oldheads said about uploading memories and seeing their cyberhead selves as more children than anything else, maybe the Red we get post-game can be considered Felix's son. Bel encouraged him to save all of his memories for the whole game by taking pictures and all that, and that new cyberhead would need something to latch onto. I kinda like that interpretation, even if I think Red 2 would deserve a better body than Faux's lmao

this is an awesome headcanon. I asked one of the devs on their Discord and they also said they support the headcanon that postgame Red is a new cyberhead. they didn't say anything about postgameRed having Felix's memories, but i think that it's a cool interpretation based on what the oldheads mentioned regarding cyber-uploaded selves as their "children."

I personally think that Red being playable during the post-game may not have necessarily meant anything to the developers (or maybe it did). But for me it can be interpreted like this, after Faux removed Red Felix's head from his body, Faux's body was recovered again and they later put Red's cybernetic head back on Faux's body. We learn as Red's dreams unfold who we really are, nobody knew that Felix's head was in Red's cybernetic head (apart from the Flesh Prince). Red has therefore developed his own personality and is aware of the events that have unfolded, so it makes sense for him to be in the crew in the post-game. At the beginning we're simply Red, after that we discover we're Felix so we become Red Felix and then events at the end mean that the two personalities separate Felix is Felix and Red is Red.
