How will background music work? Is it like we can simply switch tracks via phone or do the level have individually tracks?

You can switch via phone, but cutscenes/boss fights/special events may override that/play other music.

There is little to no validity behind this. The person that spreaded that info about 2Mello tweeted it 5 years ago and immediately deleted it. The person who claimed this is not trustworthy at all, in fact he faced far worse own allegations and disappeared online for the most part.

Considering it's also known the person who made these claims against 2Mello is known for owning companies with bad workplace environments and even hired 2Mello to compose at some point, I would not believe these claims for a second as I have never seen any evidence of such.
