We want a Restoration Patch/Not altered Scenes
I dont care when they need to alter some scenes to get the game on steam, but im not okay with having a game that doesnt give me the option to restore the content back to his original.

I made this thread, so that everyone can show in a simple way to the devs (moderator) that we will not buy or support such a game.....especially when 90% of all western released games are having a patch to add this content back.

Please, dont discuss any things here, you only need to show your support with "+1" for a restoration patch.

There are already other threads to talk about the cut content or about the mosaic, this is solely about adding the missing content back and nothing else, because devs would rather read a whole "+1" thread than any texts and explanations from you guys

I don't give a damn about mosaics. I just refuse to support cut content. And I don't want them to conflate people asking for no content to be cut with people asking for no mosaics to dodge responsibility, like a certain other company.

I don't care about mosaics too, but cut content = instant no buy button for me. Patch for this is good alternative to be on safe side and get game released and not ruin the game for playerbase.

As long as the game is available uncut on another platform there will be an uncensor patch available from the community whether alicesoft distribute it themselves or not. So I am not worried.

I'd like to point out that the last time there was a fan-patch to restore content that the developer removed from the title, they DMCA'd the patch and threatened legal action against the creator. It was Frontwing with the Subahibi fan-restoration patch.

Mosaics aren't an issue for me, but removing scenes is absolutely inexcusable. Please do this right the first time. If Steam won't allow this content, sell the game elsewhere. I'm sure there are plenty of storefronts that would be more than happy to work with you.
There's actually not that many storefronts for them to go to. Mangagamer wont touch it unless they can release it without mosaics and all the content intact, same with JAST. Fakku probably wont touch it because of all this drama surrounding it because they were heavily burned on their last major third-party title due to censorship. That really only leaves Sekai Project's storefront as the place to sell their stuff, and Sekai Project takes a massive cut from sales on their storefront.

I don't know the specifics of that incident but I would be absolutely shocked if alicesoft did that. They have always been very good to their fans and there is really no reason for them to do something like that in the first place.

Also, there would be no "creator" in this scenario to threaten, you can literally just copy a couple files from the uncensored version into the steam version.

You'd be shocked? They're tearing out content to put the title on steam, if a fan-patch gets made and someone posts about it on the forums and steam finds out, steam will remove the title from sale. This was stated a day or two ago in the steam partner update program. There's no references or links allowed to be mentioned on the steam community hub anymore. If Alicesoft does manage to cut out enough stuff to get the full title on steam, I absolutely expect them to remove and DMCA any fan-patches they stumble upon so that they can prove to Valve that they do not support it and are actively working to remove it and thus can keep Evenicle 2 on Steam.

Dealing with cut content is much easier than circumventing mosaic censorship. Hell, they could host the restoration patch on their own site. This isn't like the first time a company did this.

They literally cannot do that anymore, read the post above. Steam has directly and clearly stated that is against the rules and they will remove your game from sale if you do that.

Link the article. Regardless, links can be provided elsewhere via social media and the like. Illusion does the same thing.
